Firearms of limited defeat

On the territory of the Russian Federation, at the moment, the Arms Act, which defines the permitted types of self-defense, rules for the storage and use of this dangerous object. The law establishes the following types of weapons permitted for private individuals: guns and gas. After making amendments to the current law from 2011, another kind appeared.

What is a limited firearm?

As a rule, it is a short-barreled device used to injure a living object at a distance, but not leading to the death of a person. This includes a revolver or a pistol with gas cartridges or special cartridges of traumatic injury.

Requirements for firearms

1. A Russian citizen may by law have from 2 to 5 units of gas weapons.

2. Civilian weapons can have a capacity of not more than 10 cartridges.

3. The use of cartridges intended for combat weapons is prohibited .

4. Shoot is allowed only in special places, for example, shooting galleries or equipped shooting ranges. In the forest, and even more so in public places, the use of weapons is prohibited. For violation of the rule, you can get a fine of up to 5000 rubles.

Can I buy firearms without a license?

Many people care about this issue, because sometimes you want to get a protection tool just in case without unnecessary delays and paperwork. Based on amendments made to the Weapons Act, limited-fire firearms can only be purchased with a license valid for six months. Register new weapons within 14 days after purchase.

Wearing rules

1. The permit for weapons is given by the police.

2. It is compulsory to have identification documents, a license for storage of the self-defense object.

3. The carrying of weapons is permitted without a cartridge that must be stored in the store.

4. Firearms of limited damage must be placed on the fuse and worn in the holster.

5. Only 5 firearms can be transported in accordance with the permission of the police.

6. When exporting weapons outside the country, an additional authorization is required to transport it. The document indicates its type, series, route.

7. For violation of the requirements for carrying weapons, its owner faces either a fine of 500-2000 rubles, or deprivation of the right to store weapons for up to a year.

So, in our turbulent times, firearms of limited defeat often become a natural indispensable protection. However, in order not to have problems with law enforcement agencies, all instructions for the purchase and carrying of this dangerous item should be strictly observed.
