Female contraception: candles

For today it is possible to allocate a huge quantity of the most various means of contraception from which any woman can easily choose for itself the most comprehensible variant. Among such drugs, so-called chemical contraceptives are especially prominent, which include contraceptive tampons, suppositories, sponges, tablets and creams.

The most popular at the moment female chemical contraception - candles. There are several main types of this contraceptive, differing in composition. In some bases, nonaxinalamine is used, whereas in others, the active ingredient is benzalkonium chloride. All these substances are aimed at destroying the membrane of spermatozoa, which significantly reduces the level of their physical activity. This leads to the fact that they do not reach the ovum and fertilization does not occur. It is worth noting that the use of such contraceptives can not guarantee 100% protection against unwanted pregnancy. Recent studies have shown that in about 20% of cases of use of such a contraceptive in women, pregnancy occurred. The main reasons for this phenomenon may be misuse of the drug or failure to comply with the rules for its storage. Therefore, to use candles as a contraceptive was the most effective, you must adhere to clear instructions.

It is known that women's chemical contraception - candles, creams and much more - are acids that can not be influenced by an alkaline environment. For example, the use of soap shortly before the introduction of candles is considered a very serious violation of this rule, as this leads to a significant decrease in the effectiveness of these contraceptives. If you want to observe personal hygiene before committing sexual intercourse, then it is enough to use simple warm water. It is also possible to select a special agent neutral for the acid-base balance.

Moreover, manufacturers, whose main products are contraception (candles, tablets and other products), very often illegally overstate the validity of these drugs in order to attract as many buyers as possible. Therefore, it is first of all necessary to remember that on average the candles cope with the task in question within 40 minutes from the moment of introduction. This means that when you have another sexual intercourse, you need to enter one more candle.

From the above, we can say that for women who have an active sex life, candles-contraceptives are not very suitable, because they do not completely prevent pregnancy. But they are also suitable for those who can not use intrauterine devices and hormonal contraceptives.

Contraceptive suppositories not only inhibit the action of spermatozoa, but also prevent the development of a number of different diseases that are sexually transmitted.

Like any other chemical contraception, candles have a certain effect on the natural flora of the female vagina. That's why they should not be used too often, as this leads to vaginal dysbiosis. Moreover, the use of contraceptive suppositories very often causes irritation of the vaginal mucosa, resulting in various allergic reactions or burning.

Most women believe that the use of candles excludes the element of spontaneity from sexual contact, since the instruction notes that the drug must be injected some time before the sexual act is committed, since it needs to completely dissolve. Therefore, candles for contraception require partners to have a certain patience, organization and discipline.

In addition, the cost of candles is often high enough, so not every woman can afford them.
