Of course, every owner of a household plot cares about keeping his own harvest intact. However, not everyone knows how to do this in an environment where vegetable crops are almost "every second" exposed to insect attacks. That is why the issues that affect cabbage pests and fight with them are being put on the forefront. Among such organisms, which harm the plants of the cruciferous family, are: cabbage scoop, weevil, fly and aphids, rape sawfly, cruciferous fleas. These are the most dangerous pests of cabbage, and the fight against them must be conducted, as they say, mercilessly.

How can you protect this "crunchy" plant you love? Experts recommend planting in the immediate vicinity of cabbage basil, tomatoes or dill - so it can be protected from aphids. And the neighborhood with garlic minimizes the risk of a cabbage fly. If not far from white cabbage plant borago (cucumber grass), then it will scare off the "encroachment" on the vegetable slugs. It would be superfluous to place mint or bitter wormwood next to the cabbage so that the gardener will be able to secure the forks from the larvae of the cabbage whitewash. Some experts recommend sowing with the plant nettles - it will protect against slugs.

How to protect cabbage from pests yet? In the case when it is overcome by a mole, a whiting or a shovel, experts advise treating cruciferous concentrate from the leaves of burdock, onion husks, tomato tops. From cabbage aphids qualitative protection is provided by infusions from the last two components.

However, a person who does not know how to deal with pests of cabbage should understand that the above methods of fighting are not as effective as pesticides. Therefore, for maximum efficiency, it will be necessary to process plants several times. Ultimately, in the absence of a better one, you can simply collect the caterpillars manually.

Some experts advise you to spray cabbage with infusion of ashes to fight pests. To do this, one glass of substance is diluted in ten liters of water.
