Electric water heaters are cumulative: what yes how?

Issues related to hot water supply are relevant not only for owners of country houses, but also for residents of large cities. Electric water storage heaters are designed to ensure the supply of hot water in the absence of centralized water supply. It is worth considering the principle of operation of these devices.

Electric water heaters: how they work

With the existing variety of proposals, it should be said that these devices operate on a similar principle, which is quite simple. The tank receives water, which is heated by means of a fan, and the set heating temperature is maintained in automatic mode. Consumable water is replaced by a new batch, coming from the water supply. Usually, the maximum water temperature keeps at around 75 degrees. With the optimal operating mode of the device, heating is carried out to 60-65 degrees. By means of such a temperature regime it is possible to provide a comfortable water temperature, while reducing the heat losses to a minimum. The rate of heating depends entirely on the power of the installed fan. The most common electric hot water storage heaters, in which the installed power of 1,5-2 kilowatts, and the volume of the tank is up to 150 liters.

If the volume of the tank of the device is greater, then a more powerful fan should be installed, and the time of heating the water becomes slightly larger. For example, if a ten-kilowatt water heater is installed in a 10-liter water heater, heating will occur in 20 minutes, if the container has a capacity of one hundred liters, but the tan in it is installed similar, the heating will be performed in three hours or more.

Electric water heaters are accumulative: how are they arranged?

The device of this device is similar to the thermos device. The outer shell is separated from the inner tank by a layer of heat-insulating material. Thanks to this design, it is possible to avoid heat loss by keeping the water temperature in the heater. In addition to the fans, the devices are equipped with a thermostat, a reverse and safety valve, and a magnesium anode. The thermostat takes on the task of turning the tan on and off, as well as keeping the water temperature at the set value. The magnesium anode is designed to prevent corrosive processes in the inner tank. The non- return valve is designed to prevent reverse movement of water, which guarantees the safety of the tan from burnout. A safety valve ensures the discharge of excess pressure. Both valves are usually combined in a single housing.

Electric water storage heater floor is a device that is installed on the floor surface, while it does not differ from the wall solution. I must say that the materials from which the inner tank is made are subject to increased demands, since it undergoes heating during operation, and this leads to corrosion. For this, stainless or enameled steel is best suited. Electric water heaters accumulating "Electrolux" meet these requirements.
