Electric treadmill is the best home simulator
Electric treadmills - an indispensable simulator for the home. Each treadmill model of this type has its own basic components, features and functions. It is worthwhile to consider what role each component of this device performs.
Treadmills and criteria for their selection
One of the most important parts of the treadmill is the motor. Its continuous power is from 1 to 3 hp. Sometimes the maximum power is specified in the operating parameters. Such a characteristic may not be entirely correct, since it demonstrates what is the maximum power, and not the performance of the simulator during operation.
The area of the simulator on which the athlete runs is called the deck. It is under the moving tape. This component of the simulator is made of synthetic materials or laminated wood. The strength of the base of the simulator and its depreciation depend on the thickness of the deck. With a two-way deck, the operating time is doubled.
The running belt or tape is a wear-affected part of the treadmill, therefore it must be replaced periodically. The tapes consist of usually 1-2 layers. The most common are two-layer paintings, because they are better. The optimal width of the canvas is 40-50 cm, and the length is -110-150 cm and more.
The control panel is responsible for the function of monitoring and transmitting information in the treadmill. The panel has buttons that control the functions of the simulator, and information screens that provide users with information about speed, distance, pace and time.
It is worth paying attention to depreciation. Manufacturers most often produce an electric treadmill for the home, which has a high degree of depreciation, which reduces the load on the joints during training. This is achieved through various suspension systems, flexible decks and frames. Choosing a model with a high degree of depreciation costs people who undergo rehabilitation, who have problems with the spine or joints. But if you are a professional athlete and train for walking or cross-country running, to get training closer to real conditions, you should abandon simulators with strong depreciation.
Most of the racetracks have a speed of 1 to 16 km / h. There are also models that accelerate to 19 km / h or more. But most users will be quite enough and 13 km / h. Professional athletes, of course, will need a more high-speed treadmill.
