Dostoevsky "The Brothers Karamazov" - a novel about Russia

In all the world literature there are not so many books that are comparable in depth with the famous novel of the Russian classic. This is one of the indisputable tops of not only Russian but also world literature. It is hardly possible to consider a fully educated person, if in the list of books he reads there is no Dostoyevsky's novel The Brothers Karamazov. But this book is complex, multidimensional, and to understand it, you need to do a lot of mental and intellectual work.

Dostoevsky. "The Brothers Karamazov"

This is the final book and a peculiar culmination of the writer's entire creative path. In it, he reflected everything that he thinks about man and the world in which man lives. In the center of the narrative are three brothers, who have very different attitudes with the world, and with the Supreme Creator. Too much controversy was tied into the plot of his novel by Fyodor Mikhailovich Dostoyevsky. The Karamazov brothers are in the very center of a multidimensional knot of contradictions boiling in the quiet provincial town of Skotoprigonievsk. The town, as it turns out, lives by the principle: in the quiet pool the devils are found. But devils are found in the souls of people. And one of the key phrases of the novel is the maximum of Karamazov the elder: "Since there is no God, then everything is allowed." And Karamazov's father is guided in his life by this very principle, according to which he accepts death at the hands of one of his sons. The storyline of the novel is based on the murder of Fyodor Pavlovich Karamazov, and this detective intrigue slowly unwinds Dostoevsky before the reader. The Karamazov brothers are among the suspects in this crime, which has stirred up a quiet town. Of course, detective intrigue here is nothing more than a structural framework on which the ingenious image of Russia is based. He clearly reads in the novel, it clearly shows something more than a flash of passion against the background of the murder of an old drunkard in a provincial village. But especially impressive is the denouement, to which the effect of Dostoevsky.
"The Brothers Karamazov" is not exhausted by the three main characters of the narrative, and none of the sons of the deceased committed murder. But Fyodor Mikhailovich was murdered by the brother of Karamazov, the younger. This character passes through the whole novel as a lackey Smerdyakov. The fact that he is the fourth son of the deceased, is unknown to anyone, and he calculated his crime very competently. All the evidence converges against Dmitry Karamazov and those few who know the truth can not prove it.

Posthumous fame

The author himself was not destined to trace the fate of his main book, he died shortly after it was published in the pages of a literary magazine. But the fate of the novel is enviable, it is read and reread for a century and a half already. A fat volume with an inscription on the spine "F. Dostoyevsky." The Brothers Karamazov "is in any self-respecting library, many read it several times throughout life, comparing the impression that this book left in his youth, with the perception of it in adulthood. Only to guess about the future fate of Dostoevsky's heroes. The lightest character of the novel, Alyosha Karamazov, had to go throw a bomb at the liberator's king, but the revolution did without him.
