Croissants are a truly French dish. It is customary for us to consider that this batch is only a dessert for tea. But in France, croissants - this is a full dish, without which there is not a single breakfast or dinner. They can be as with a variety of fruit and chocolate filling, and with unsweetened - with meat, cheese or vegetable. They will even succeed in replacing bread. It is more convenient and easier to prepare croissants from yeast puff pastry, which can be purchased at any store. But if you want, you can prepare it yourself at home, but it will take much longer. Here you will find a recipe for the most delicate and delicious desserts - these are croissants with chocolate from puff pastry.

For preparation it is necessary:

  • Packing of the ready puff pastry (500 grams);
  • Chocolate or chocolate-nut paste;
  • Butter - 200 grams;
  • One yolk.

Preparation

First of all, the puff pastry should be defrosted well. At the next stage it needs to be rolled out, but not too thin or thick, the thickness of the sheet should be about half a centimeter. Then he gently with a sharp knife to not deform the dough, cut into triangles from the center to the edges. After that, the narrow edge of each piece needs to be pulled out a little. Near the bottom of each triangle are placed a few pieces of chocolate or a spoonful of chocolate-nut paste and a slice of butter for a more delicate taste. Next, the croissants need to be shaped, for this they are twisted from the base to the center, and the tips are slightly wrapped around each other so that the baking looks like a crescent.


This bun is considered correct if it is curled in at least 5-6 layers. After that, the croissants from the yeast puff pastry are laid out on a baking tray, which is covered with foil or special baking paper. Watch carefully so that they do not touch each other and do not burn. The top of the croissants for smooth golden color is smeared with beaten egg yolk.

The oven heats up to 180-200 degrees, but you must not forget to constantly monitor your buns, because cooking time and temperature depend on the characteristics of your oven. From this quantity of ingredients we will get about 10 medium-sized buns, the cooking time of which will take an hour.

If you prefer to make the dough on your own, it will take up to 10 hours, since he will need to give time (hours 8) to brew. After the croissants from the yeast puff pastry are ready, they must be left until completely cooled, and before serving, you can decorate with fresh fruit or sprinkle a little pre-melted chocolate in a water bath.
