Usually they have a very pleasant smell. Decorative honeysuckle is very unpretentious and frost-hardy. It grows very fast. The only drawback inherent in all honeysuckle, both decorative and edible: with warm autumn or deep thaws in winter, they can again move into growth. Then the returned frosts can simply destroy them. Famous for their magnificent flowers, the climbing roses and clematis are much more capricious and less adapted to our climate than decorative honeysuckle.
