George Guryanov: biography, personal life, family

February 27, 1961 in the family of Konstantin Fedorovich Guryanov and Margarita Vikentievna son Georgy Guryanov was born. His parents were geologists. The birth of the child took place in the maternity hospital located in the Petrogradsky district of Leningrad. The father of the future musician died in 1993, and his mother passed away in 2013.

Childhood

From his earliest childhood, before entering the school, Georgy Guryanov began to study in a musical circle, located in the House of Culture named after Kozitsky. There, the boy was trained to play the piano, as well as stringed instruments: guitar, balalaika, domra.

The future life of the musician was influenced by the work of the British rock band Led Zeppelin, which the child heard once. As the musician later stated, it was thanks to these rockers that he began to walk in a circle. Teachers, after hearing from George the reason why he signed up for them, said that first he needed to at least learn how to play the balalaika.

Already famous Guryanov said: "I learned to play the balalaika, but it was not at all like my favorite band. To this teacher told me that you need to play rock music eight hours a day, then I can get the necessary experience. "

Years of study

The end of school life of the boy was in 1976, he finished the secondary school № 363, which was located in Kupchino. A year later Guryanov graduated from St. Petersburg Art School No. 1, and the following year he was enrolled in the Leningrad Art College named after Serov. Studies here failed, so a year later the musician dropped out.

Life in the capital, travel, personal life

Participation in various musical compositions

1978-1979 Guryanov held, participating in the rock band "Uncle Sam", the founder of which was Sergei Semenov. George played music on it on the bass guitar. He managed to participate in the punk team. From 1983 to 1984 years. The musician participated in the "Automatic Satisfactors". Guryanov had time to prove himself in such compositions: "People's Militia", "Games". In the first he helped to record drums, in the second he was a drummer.

The eighties, in addition to "Kino", gave him the experience of cooperation with such an ensemble as "New Composers". This duo was one of the first in the Soviet Union to play electronic music. They even tried to implement a collective project with "Kino", calling it "Start". In the Ballet of Three Hebrews, to the music of the participants - I.Verichev and V.Alahov - "New Composers" - Guryanov in 1984 performed the part.

As a drummer George appears in the group "Pop Mechanics" under the leadership of Sergei Kuryokhin. Here he was also a vocalist. Activities in this group fell on 1985.

On his drumming Guryanov, one might say, he looked back at foreign bands like Duran Duran. His game was different from other musicians of that time, peculiarity and style. At the same time he played standing, not sitting.

Participation in the raves

In the late eighties, George Guryanov began to pay special attention and devote sufficient time to such areas as techno and house, relates to club currents and even creates the original "raves" in the northern capital. George was one of the founders and organizers of the capital raves "Gagarin-party" and "Mobile-party." He also owns the authorship of the symbols on the banners of these initial raves.

Movies

Career George was formed not only in musical creativity, in parallel he was shot in motion pictures and music videos. From the films with his participation you can note the legendary "Assa", "Rock", "The End of the Vacation". In them he played himself. In addition, George starred in several other films.

Not once Guryanov was invited to shoot the TV program "Pirate TV", even was the leading sports project "Spartakus".

In 2010, he played in the movie "Needle" Remix, performing the episodic role of the DJ.

Rashid Nugmanov said that he suggested that Guryanov perform a role in his film "Needle". He was assigned the character of the collector of marijuana riding on a trolley. The musician declined this offer.

Painting

Back in 1979 George Guryanov contacted Timur Novikov and joined the so-called "New Artists" team. From this moment the musician exhibits his own paintings and takes direct membership with Novikov in different programs.

Since the end of 1989, George became a member of the new academic group. Until the end of his life after this, Guryanov exhibits his works not only on the territory of Russia, but also abroad.

Final years

In 2013, George Guryanov was treated in a medical institution named after Botkin. The musician was diagnosed with hepatitis C, oncology. Severe illness prevented Guryanov from continuing his work. After discharge from the hospital, he was sent to Germany, passed a cycle of chemotherapy, but she did not give positive results. After that, until his death, he was at home in a serious situation.

July 20, 2013, Georgiy Konstantinovich Guryanov has died. He was buried in the Smolensk cemetery.
