Choose wallpaper glue
Before you begin to directly prepare the surface for wallpapering, you need to purchase them and choose the appropriate adhesive composition for them. If you choose an adhesive for wallpaper is wrong, then often, after a certain time, this leads to the backlog of the paintings, as well as the appearance of an unpleasant smell.
There is a large selection of adhesive compounds for different types of wallpaper, but not all of them meet all the desirable advantages: one kind of environmentally friendly, but practically does not hold the canvas, the other sticks so that it is simply impossible to tear off, but has a doubtful composition.
Adhesive for wallpaper can be divided into two types - universal and special. The first is designed for gluing walls with any kind of wallpaper, the second is used for products that have vinyl cover. In the instructions for use, which is applied to the packaging, it is indicated for which wallpaper it is intended, they can be light or heavy. By the term "lungs" are meant their paper varieties. "Heavy" - all the rest (acrylic, vinyl, textile, etc.).
When deciding which wallpaper glue is better, you need to take into account some of the raw data. Namely, from what material the wallpaper and wall are made, what weight the wallpaper has, and also critical parameters of the glue. An important factor is the humidity and temperature in the room.
Thin, light paper wallpaper is glued with the usual CMC (carboxymethylcellulose) glue. For this kind of canvas is the most suitable and sufficiently high-quality option. The acquisition of an expensive adhesive will simply be a waste of funds. For a duplex that has a high paper density, it is better to use a universal adhesive that is slightly more expensive, but has a higher adhesive capacity.
Adhesive for wallpaper on non-woven basis also belongs to the category of special. A feature of its application is that it is applied directly to the surface of the wall, which can significantly reduce its consumption.
Adhesive for wallpaper, which includes antiseptics, it is recommended to use on unheated surfaces (external walls), because these additives prevent the formation of bacteria, mold and fungus under the products.
