For summer keeping of a bird there is a spacious barn with bedding for sleeping (the main thing is that there are no drafts), during the day free grazing and access to water.

In winter, a heated room is required, the ideal temperature for the contents is +10 ... + 14 о С (in any case not below +6 о С). Ducklings are very hardy, the survival rate is high. Most importantly, the first couple of days to monitor their feeding, so that all the kids will cheerfully feed the feed. Correctly selected diet from the first days of the bird's life will help to get the desired result.

Feed ducks both vegetable and animal feed. The diet includes friable mash, they are cooked on milk or water. They fill with hard -boiled eggs and millet porridge. Gradually introduce grain and greens. From the green for ducks useful dill, onions, clover, dandelions, sow. At the age of the month, young animals are released to the pond (if there is one).

At a free-range, the bird extracts for itself fresh herbs from the pond. Animal feed in the form of insects, small fishes, tadpoles, worms is also added here. But on a free-range without grain, bran and other feed, the bird will not quickly gain its weight.
