There is probably no more common fish than perch. Any pond or forest lake, small river, and even more so a large reservoir is abundantly populated by this red-headed predator.

But this approach is more than erroneous, especially when fishing takes place during the season of activity of this predatory inhabitant of reservoirs.

The perch on the balancer in winter should be caught with a fishing rod, the general requirements for which are very simple. It's reliability, compactness and, of course, lightness. For this purpose, a rod with a neoprene or cork handle is best. The total length of the gear along with the whip should be about thirty or forty centimeters maximum - the optimal size for a season such as winter. On perch in winter, experienced anglers use variants with a length of up to five cm. And for fishing in shallow water, three- and three-foot ones are suitable, and in five-centimeter depths (up to nine meters). It should be understood that even the best balancers for perch in winter will not bring a proper result if the angler does not know the technique. The game of this bait consists in the alternation of successive strokes of the paddle and pauses observed between them. Depending on what the production activity is and what conditions in the given reservoir, the technique can be very diverse.

The basic tactic for the winter game balancer is the following: touch the bottom, then raise the bait over the ground centimeters by ten to fifteen and hold motionless.
