Candles "Methyluracil" instruction describes as a means, effectively accelerating the processes of cell regeneration (regeneration), wound healing, and also promoting the stimulation of cellular and humoral (tissue) defense factors. The drug activates leuko- and erythropoiesis. It produces an anabolic and anti-catabolic effect.

Using the candles "Metilitacil" (the instruction informs), the patient provides stimulation of the production of red blood cells and leukocytes, which is especially important for radio and X-ray therapy, as well as for other conditions characterized by leukopenia, i.e. A decrease in the level of leukocytes in the blood. Medication is a remedy that activates leukopoiesis. The active active substance of the drug is methyluracil, it is a derivative of pyrimidone.

Adult patients are prescribed, as a rule, up to four suppositories per day. Candles with methyluracil, injected rectally, help get rid of proctitis, sigmoiditis, ulcerative colitis (inflammatory process in the colon, accompanied by ulcers), radiation lesions of the thick or sigmoid colon, cracks in the anus and hemorrhoids. Pre-washed hands should remove the suppository from the contour pack and insert deep into the vagina or into the anus (depending on the expert's recommendation).

It should be noted that patients from three to eight are allowed to install no more than half of one suppository per day, and from eight to fifteen - no more than one. Before the introduction of a candle into the anus, it should be done naturally or with the help of an enema to empty the rectum.

The medication in question is usually well tolerated. In some cases, after the introduction of the candle, a brief slight burning sensation may be felt. To avoid undesirable consequences, the administration of the drug and the determination of its optimal dosage is performed exclusively by the attending physician. Uncontrolled use of medication can harm a patient's health.

Candles with methyluracil in gynecology are used vaginally. They are prescribed, as a rule, after surgical interventions (for operations on the cervix, vagina). In the treatment of cervical erosion, this dosage form is used to provide local regenerative and wound healing effects.

Duration of treatment can be from one to sixteen weeks. In special cases, two candles may be prescribed up to four times a day (this is the maximum dose). The drug helps to cure cystitis, colpitis, mechanical damage to the vagina or cervix, erosion of the genitals.

The medication is not prescribed for lymphogranulomatosis, leukemia (in acute and chronic leukemia), as well as for malignant diseases affecting the bone marrow. It is contraindicated in patients who have not reached the age of three.

When using the drug "Methyluracil" (candles) vaginally, from sexual intercourse during treatment should be abstained.

If it is necessary to stimulate leukopoiesis in most cases, this medication is administered in the form of tablets.

This drug is sold in cardboard packages of ten candles each (two blisters with five suppositories each). One suppository is five hundred milligrams of active ingredient and auxiliary substances (among them starch, stearic acid, polyvinylpyrrolidone).
