Bugatti Veyron Supersport - beyond perfect perfection!

Once upon a time, the thousandth herd seemed an unattainable goal, the same improved version of the elite and already cult supercar Bugatti Veyron Supersport overcame the mark of 1200 hp. It's fantastic!

Today the Bugatti Veyron Supersport is the fastest production car, designed for trips on ordinary roads. On the track in Germany test pilot Pierre-Henri Rafanel proved that this car can develop a speed of 431.07 km / h (the average for the two races). Dynamics of car acceleration is also impressive - 2.5 s to 100 km / h! To achieve this result, many body elements compared with the standard version are facilitated by the maximum use of carbon fiber, composite materials, light alloys. This, together with the increase in aerodynamic properties, allowed, despite the high power (more massive turbochargers are installed), to reduce the weight of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport by 50 kg compared to the base model, and even reduce fuel consumption to 23 liters per 100 km.

The body is made entirely of carbon fiber, the rear subframe is made of stainless steel, the front is made of composite materials, which allows achieving maximum balance in any situation. The body of the Bugatti Veyron Supersport is a one-piece monocoque, thanks to this design it has high torsional stiffness, which means good passive safety. At the car the roof, a forward bumper and the back diffuser is updated, the quantity of exhaust pipes at the expense of increase of efficiency of their work is reduced. For safety, the maximum speed of the Bugatti Veyron Supersport is electronically limited to 415 km / h. It is safe to drive at high speeds only if there are special tires that were used in record races at a training ground in Germany. However, the usual regular, very wide tires from Michelin, designed specifically for this supercar, and a perfectly tuned electronically controlled all-wheel drive 7-speed dual-clutch transmission, can withstand lateral acceleration to 1.45 g in bends, while braking, keeping the car from slipping . Much credit is given to this and the wheel stability control system.

The brake system consists of radially ventilated disks made of composite (carbon plus reinforcement with silicon carbide), it has monoblock brake calipers made of light aluminum alloy. Wheel disks are made of forged alloy. One of the features of the car is the relative comfort of control compared with other supercars - the stiffness of the stroke is smoothed out and the over-reaction to steering turns is smoothed.

In principle, this car can be called a successful image campaign, rather than a commercial project. It is planned to release only 30 copies of the Supersport version, all in all, taking into account the updated base version of the Bugatti Veyron 2013, 300 cars will be produced, and their manufacturer - VW concern - does not plan to increase the quota. This car is more a symbol of the technical capabilities of the concern, therefore such machines can not be much. Yes, and the price for a charged Veyron is considerable - more than 2 million euros. And after the completion of the car, it is likely to grow every year, giving more and more exclusivity to this unique product of technical thought.
