Bruised legs. First aid and treatment.

When soft tissues are damaged, but the whole skin is not broken, a foot injury occurs. Its appearance is always accompanied by rather acute painful sensations and edema formation. In some cases, the bone is affected, the hematoma develops. First of all, as soon as possible stop hemorrhage into soft tissues with the help of a cold compress, and within a day to begin treatment of trauma.

Precisely because the bruise of the foot does not lead to violations of the integrity of the skin, but causes severe pain, it is often confused with more severe consequences. If the pain is not too strong, a person can sit or lie down for several hours, necessarily applying an ice compress to the bruised place, and that will be enough. But sometimes the pain is so strong that it is simply impossible to move. In such situations, you should immediately consult a doctor, since it is not possible to determine a fracture or just a bruise without the help of an experienced specialist.

Already a couple of hours after the injury of the foot, there is a swelling and swelling is formed. This is a completely normal reaction of tissues to this kind of effect. If the stroke is strong enough, small vessels may burst, blood accumulate under the skin and form a hematoma. According to its color (brightness of flowering), experts quickly determine the duration of the injury. Often a bruised foot is accompanied by small breaches of the skin in the form of abrasions and scratches, which should be immediately washed and processed, so as not to infect the infection. When the nail is bruised on the leg, the blood accumulates under the nail plate, which can subsequently lead to its peeling off.

In no case should you stretch, knead, warm or rub the bruised legs. What to do when it appears? To begin with, provide the injured limb with complete peace, sit or lie down, but do not stay on your feet and especially not continue driving. To reduce pain and prevent the formation of a strong edema will help cold. Dampen a towel in the icy water, and better wrap a piece of ice in the fabric and attach to the site of the injury. In order not to overdo it and not to get additional frostbite in addition to the injury, from time to time remove the ice pack and then apply it again. A tight fixative bandage may be needed if there is a serious sprain in the ligaments. You can additionally take an anti-inflammatory and analgesic. If severe pains occur, the injured person should be immediately taken to traumatology.

After a day or two, start taking warm baths and sign up for UHF. Such actions contribute to faster resorption of the hematoma. If there is a sufficiently strong contusion of the foot, the massage course will be superfluous. In the case of pharmacy drugs, we stop your choice on ointments and gels of NSAIDs. These include diclofenac sodium, ketoprofen and ibuprofen, as well as some of their analogs that are applied directly to the foot injury.

What if there are open wounds and abrasions on the surface of the skin? Be sure to treat them with a solution of hydrogen peroxide, and then apply an anti-inflammatory ointment. With injuries with success apply no less effective means of traditional medicine. To begin with, make the next infusion: wormwood, plantain and calendula are taken in equal proportions (one tablespoon) and poured with boiling water (250 ml). Let it brew, take out all the plant cake, spread it on a clean cloth and attach it to the bruise. Fix the bandage for several hours. A strong foot injury requires the application of four to five such procedures.

For complete cure, alcoholic tincture based on leaves of walnut, celandine and calendula will be needed. Stretch your leg throughout the day at least five times, and at night apply a compress of this remedy. In three days the problem will disappear.
