Childhood and youth

Boruc Arthur was born in 1980, on February 20, in the town of Siedlce. It's interesting that his father is a former hockey player. Mom was a housewife. But Arthur is not the only child in the family. He has a brother and three sisters. The boys shared their passion for football: they spent a lot of time together, chasing the ball on the playgrounds.

And at the age of nine Arthur went to the football school at the club "Pogon." First he took the position of the striker. The first contract was signed by the young Pole in 1996 with the club Pogon. In many ways it was thanks to him that the team won the province Polish Cup in the 1997/98 season.

The following year the young goalkeeper attracted the attention of representatives of "Legia" from Warsaw. The capital club made a proposal to the young man to switch to their membership, and he agreed. True, for the first year and a half he remained in a duplicate composition. Another time he leased FC "Doltzan", where the goalkeeper acquired a game practice. Only in 2002, Arthur gave a chance to prove himself in the capital's club. In 2012, Arthur Boruc moved to another club. The goalkeeper became part of "Southampton". With an English club, he signed a contract for one year. But then he extended the agreement until 2015, as he was entrenched as the main goalkeeper of the team.
