Fernando Petio - that was the name of the barman, who is now known as the creator of the Bloody Mary. He worked in a bar called New York in the French capital, Paris, at the very beginning of the last century. According to Parisian standards, the appearance of such a drink, as bloody Mary cocktail, has become somewhat unexpected and strange event. This happened in the 1920s. But the real popularity and demand this drink has already acquired in America. It was there that in 1934 Fernand moved to work at the "King Col" bar.

But then it's not so simple. Versions diverge. Some believe that Fernand came up with the name "Red Snapper" for his cocktail, but due to the fact that one regular visitor persistently called his Bloody Mary, this name followed him. But another version says that the creator of the cocktail himself wanted to call him that, but the management of the American bar opposed it and wanted to give it the name "Red Lucian".

But also the creator himself began to conduct experiments with the composition, adding to it all kinds of seasonings and spices, which is already talking about how many now there are options for making a cocktail. It consists of vodka, tomato juice, hot pepper sauce, Worcesters sauce, salt, pepper, grated horseradish and lemon juice. The proportions of these ingredients are best determined based on their own preferences and tastes. But in any case, there should not be more vodka than all the other ingredients taken together.

There is also such a method of preparation: it is necessary to lower the glasses by rim into the brine, and then into the large salt. When it dries, you need to pour accurately into the glasses of tomato juice, and then along the wall, a thin trickle pour cold vodka.
