Beautiful Cleavage: Care and Reproduction

A wonderful plant bloomed on my windowsill. Large red flowers, shaped like bluebells with a diameter of up to 4 cm, are collected in an umbrella, and dark green leaves beautifully set them off. It is a cleft, an evergreen herbaceous plant, grown only in our home conditions. At home, in the humid climate of southern Africa, it also occurs in the wild. This flower, according to the eastern horoscopes, gives people reasonable prudence, circumspection. And those who do not have this quality of character, can start growing it on their own windowsill.

The genus Clivia belongs to the Amaryllis family and has only three types: the clavicle is orange-colored or cinnabar, the cleavage is noble and the cleavage of Gardena. Amazing flowers can be red or orange, and the leaves are collected in a rosette and form a false stem. A straight flower arrow with 20-30 flowers in one inflorescence emerges from the sinus of the leathery leaf. The flowering of the Cleavia begins in February and lasts almost a month.

Beautiful and unpretentious cleavage. Care and reproduction of this flower for the strengths and beginners of the flower growers. Grow it simply, but you must comply with certain conditions. First, the plant does not like direct, bright sun rays, which sometimes cause a burn of leaves. When growing at home, it is best to avoid the southern windows or at least pritenyat cliche. If the plant has settled on the northern windows, then it will be much better. Although there may be problems during flowering. Due to lack of sunlight, the cleavage does not bloom or form ovaries.

The adult plant can bloom twice a year. To do this, put it in a dark room and cut watering and feeding. If the cleft does not form a flower stem, then it should be watered with water at a temperature of 40 ° C. The optimum temperature for this plant is 20-25 ˚C, and after flowering it must necessarily be reduced to 12-14 ˚C. During the formation of the peduncle, the temperature in the room should not be below 18 - 20 ° C. In the summer, the Cleavia loves to luxuriate in the fresh air.

Watering should be moderate, room-standing water, which is best not to leave in the pan. And to water the cleavage it is necessary then, then the upper crust of the soil will be slightly dried. Although this beauty in nature - a native of a humid climate, it does not require high humidity content. But in the summer she loves, when every day they wipe the leaves with a moist tampon.

Care for the cleansing is also in additional fertilizing. On a liter of water, two grams of liquid organic or mineral fertilizer are diluted and alternately fed every two weeks.

Like all Amaryllis, the Cleavia has a period of rest, which means a lot for this beautiful flower. Young plants have enough rest and two months, but large, adult cures need a long rest. In September, the flower can be stopped watering and moved to a fairly cool place. When the flower arrow reaches a length of 12-15 cm, it is transferred to a warm room, watered and fertilized.

Klivia does not like to be disturbed, especially during the tying of buds. It should stand in one place throughout the flowering period, otherwise it can simply drop all its buds. Its fleshy, brittle roots serve as a storehouse of water and nutrients, so at the slightest damage rot. Transplant and transshipments do not like cleavage. Care of the flower at the same time is as follows: transplant not more often than once in 2-3 years, and do it very carefully. After all, this plant contains many alkaloids, it is very poisonous and can cause a person to have poisoning or even paralysis.

Klivia prefers an earth mix consisting of turf, peat and humus in a ratio of 2: 1: 1, with the addition of superphosphate.

Flower growers reproduce the southerner with root offspring, separating them during transplantation from an adult plant. Usually, offspring with 4-5 leaves, rooting in moist sand.

Clivia, whose care requires attention, sometimes behaves like a real whimsical beauty, and a little something is wrong, problems immediately arise. For example, the tips of the leaves have become browned, which means that the plant is too moist, and the stalk may start to rot. If there are white spots on the leaves, they may have been burned by the sun. If there is not enough moisture or during the flowering in the room there was a low temperature, there will be a short flower stalk. From lack of nutrients, the leaves look faded, and the flower stalk may not appear at all.

Pests can overcome any plant. If the pests are injured by a clivus, the treatment is treated with insecticides.
