"Ataman" - grapes for gourmets and leaders

It is believed that one of the first crops that the ancient man began to cultivate consciously was grapes. Trembling treatment of his berries has survived to this day.

People brought out the so-called kishmish (no pits), technical (intended for making juices and wine) and dessert (table) varieties of this plant.

One of the latest novelties of selection is the mid-late grape variety "ataman".

The variety "ataman" was obtained by crossing the pink table-raisin variety "rizamat" and the green table variety "talisman". As a result of selection, red and violet grapes with a characteristic oval-elongated form of berries were obtained. As the maturing berries darkens and acquires a rich purple hue. The size of the berries is large enough. Their weight is on the average 12-16 grams, the weight of the brush is up to 1 kg. The pulp is juicy, moderately acidic and harmonious enough to taste. The skin of the berries is dense, slightly covered with a wax coating.

"Ataman" - grapes with a maturity of berries up to 145 days. The final maturity of the grapes falls on 15-20 September.

The bushes of this variety are powerful, they give many shoots, most of which bear fruit. The hybrid is frost-resistant, but requires shelter.

Advantages and disadvantages of the variety

"Ataman" - grapes, which has an attractive presentation. Berries are transportable. Can be stored for a fairly long time without being exposed to fermentation and fungal diseases.

The main disadvantage of the variety "ataman" - grapes needs shelter for the winter and poorly grows in shaded areas. It should not be planted near trees, which creates difficulties for owners of small plots of land.

The variety name "ataman" grapes received as a symbol of leadership in comparison with other varieties of grapes for their commodity and taste qualities.
