Asian ticking-tabby - a symbol of well-being

Asian breeds of cats are very popular in the world. Cracked eyes, the grace of a Japanese geisha and the ballerina's flying gait make them especially charming creatures. Therefore, persistent selective work is constantly carried out to bring out even more refined and graceful animals. As a result of such selection in the 80 years of the last century, Asian ticking-tabby appeared. The breed immediately gained popularity among cat lovers and was recognized by most felinological organizations, in particular, WCF in 1990.

The basis for the genetic material served as burmilla. Later, other short-haired Asian breeds of domestic cats joined: Persian chinchilla, abyssinian and others. As a result of cross-crossing, various tabby patterns are possible: solid, sepia, silver, spotted, marble, tiger, ticks. The basic colors of the animal's fur can also be different: apricot, cream, blue, caramel, lilac, crimson, chocolate and black.

Among other things, the Asian ticking-tabby takes a special place. This cat is close in shape to the Burmese, but the texture of the fur shows the difference. Like all orientals, it has slightly slanted, almond-shaped eyes with a very spectacular golden iris. Medium-sized ears are directly placed on a small head, their tips slightly curved and rounded. The abdomen is lighter than the back. Hind legs are often "shod" in dark socks, and on the front are visible dark rings.

But not the structure of the body makes the breed so wonderful, but the color of short and soft wool. The Asian ticking tabby has two dark marks on each of its hairs. The animal seems to shimmer with sparks when its fur is patted. For this ticking effect, the breed is particularly valued. The advantage is for females. For the grafted kitten, the breeder can ask for several tens of thousands of dollars! Therefore, to have such a beast at home is a symbol of prestige and well-being.

In addition to the noble appearance, the Asian ticking-tabby also received an intelligent temper. She does not like yelling when hungry and jealous, if another animal appears in the house. Perfectly gets along with other cats, dogs and even parrots. He loves to play, but it is easy for her to explain the boundary between what is permissible and forbidden. At the same time, the representatives of the breed are inveterate housewives. They do not like changing the situation, they do well without walks and easily tolerate loneliness. Usually such a cat is attached only to one person, but it is friendly to other household members.

Asian ticking-tabby does not have undercoat. Therefore, care for her fur coat is minimal. It is enough in the moulting period to comb it with a thick metal crest. A cat needs a balanced diet. Do not offer her dry food, but rather give preference to natural products. At the same time, one should not forget about vitamins - buy her a herb for cats. If you follow all the recommendations for care, and also systematically show your pet to a veterinarian, he will please you with excellent health and longevity. This breed has not yet identified hereditary diseases.
