Apple and cottage cheese strudel

Strudel is a unique product from a thin dough. And the filling can be different. This carrot, and cottage cheese, and meat. However, the most popular is apple strudel.

Preparation of strudel

The most important thing to do right to create this dish is to knead the dough. To make it, you need to take half a glass of ice water, 2 tablespoons of oil (vegetable), a little salt (literally a pinch), as well as a glass of flour, which must be sieved in advance.

Of all the products, a very tight and elastic dough is kneaded, which is placed in a bag and left for 40 minutes in a warm place. In the meantime, you can take up the creation of the filling.

Raisins are washed with hot water. Later it is squeezed and poured with cognac. Of course, you can replace alcohol with boiling water with the addition of cognac special essence. However, a slightly different taste will result.

Separately, on a large grater, several stale pieces of a loaf are rubbed. Approximately minutes 5 they should be carefully fried in a pan, then pour into a bowl. Add a spoon of butter, which is slightly softened beforehand. Also poured and 3 small spoons of sugar. The result is a delicious, soft and sweet bread crumb. 2 spoons of this yummy should be set aside.

A half-kilogram of apples is cut into 8 lobules each and peeled off. Only then each lobule is cut finely into thin slices. They are mixed with bread crumbs and raisins, which are wrung from cognac. They fall into the filling and 4 tablespoons of vanilla sugar, cinnamon and a small amount of cognac from the raisins. The filling should be in the cold. Therefore, it is removed for half an hour to the refrigerator.

Now begins a very crucial moment. We need to roll out the dough. To do this, it is first kneaded and sprinkled with flour to then freely remove the thin layer of dough from the board or substrate. And only then the work begins with a rolling pin. Once the dough is rolled, it should be transferred to a towel, which is sprinkled with flour. And already now the dough needs to be stretched, so that it becomes almost translucent (very very thin). However, the seam should not be torn.

So, the finished dough is smeared with oil, and then it is sprinkled with crumb, which was previously put aside. Approximately half the space is laid out and filling. Now you need to roll a tight roll, carefully squeezing the apple strudel with each turn. In this form, it is put on a baking sheet and sent to the oven for 25 minutes. It must be remembered that this dish never becomes rosy.

Once the strudel is removed from the oven, it should be covered with a towel for 10 minutes. Then it is cut into pieces and fed to the table. After all, the most delicious strudel is apple, if it is warm.

As an ornament on a plate, you can put an ice cream ball. It will become an additional sauce for dessert. Although, you can serve the dish with whipped cream, jam, jam or curd cream.

Strudel with cottage cheese and pumpkin

Preparing the strudel is a whole art. And here you can experiment. However, this is subjected exclusively to the filling, and the dough always remains unchanged. For the next unique and original strudel, 300 g of flour, 2 tablespoons of oil, salt and 100 g of butter will be needed. And the filling should be made from a half-kilogram of pumpkin (grated), the same amount of cottage cheese, 3 tablespoons of sugar, 4 eggs, vanilla sugar, 100 g of butter, half a glass of cream (fatty) and salt.

First prepare the dough and send it to cool. The filling is very simple. The grated pumpkin is left for a short while, and then the juice is completely drained. Add all the ingredients to the pumpkin and beat with a mixer.

From the dough roll a thin transparent layer, lubricate it with oil and spread the filling from above. Next, a roll is formed, which is baked in the oven.

Now you can try the strudel not only in a restaurant or cafe, but also at home! And it does not matter what it will be: apple strudel, pumpkin, cottage cheese or even meat. In a home setting, making it easy.
