The most popular antibacterial candles contain hexicon, betadine and pimafucin. All of them are used in the treatment and prevention of infectious diseases.

Hexicon is an antiseptic. It is widely used in medical and preventive measures for inflammatory female diseases. Often a hexicon is used to prevent sexually transmitted infections after unprotected sexual intercourse.

Betadine has a wide range of effects on fungi and bacteria, protozoa and viruses (even, according to some, on HIV). This drug component is capable of secreting active iodine, which when combined with the proteins of the infection cell, coagulates them, killing it.

Pimafucin is a very effective and non-toxic drug. It is included in the composition of medications from thrush.

It should be noted that the medicinal components after ingestion enter into the acidic or the alkaline environment, as a result of which they are partially destroyed. In the blood, however, about ten to twelve percent of the dose penetrates. Modern medicine has a large number of medicines for topical application. The advantage of candles is, of course, the ability to be absorbed into the blood immediately. Do not forget about the correct use of medications, possible side effects. Therefore, the use of medicines should be controlled by a specialist.

Antibiotic therapy requires a clear adherence to the regimen. The choice of this or that drug, the duration of use always depends on the conditions of development of the infection and the nature of its localization.

In many cases, treatment is performed for both partners simultaneously. This, in particular, refers to ailments that are sexually transmitted (eg, urethritis).

The effectiveness of the therapeutic course for certain diseases is determined by the duration of the use of medicines. So, for example, with exacerbation of prostatitis in chronic form, antibacterial treatment with fluoroquinolones should be at least thirty-four weeks, with the appointment of cotrimoxazole - at least twelve months.
