Analysis of the poem "Motherland" Lermontov M. Yu.

The poem "Motherland" Lermontov M. Yu. Is an example of creativity for future generations - revolutionary democrats of the 1860s. The poet became to some extent the pioneer of a new style of writing poetic works. Mikhail Yuryevich's versification in many respects echoes Pushkin's poetry, but with the only difference is that the "Homeland" depicts the whole vast Russia, and Alexander Sergeyevich preferred to reduce the survey to the size of a small village. Many contemporaries of the poet appreciated this work.

"Homeland" Lermontov - a patriotic poem, which the author wanted to show his attitude to the Motherland and compare their feelings with the feelings of officials. Mikhail Yurievich calls his love strange, because he despises the country of the rich, but feels warm feelings towards poor peasants, he likes Russian nature, culture. The poet rejoices, driving along a country road, admiring the birches, condescending to drunken peasants.

In many works, M. Yu. Lermontov expresses his attitude to the country, people and power. "Homeland" (verse) is a kind of result of reflection, the poet tells what it means for Russia. Initially, the poem was called "Fatherland", but shortly before the publication of Lermontov, he changed it to "Homeland". This is quite unusual at that time, because in the 19th century poets usually described a "small homeland", that is, their homestead, place of birth, and not the whole country.

Mikhail Yuryevich set himself the goal of showing the immense Russia in the image of a small village. The poet became a pioneer in the ratio of a large and a small homeland. This style of writing clearly manifested itself only in the middle of the twentieth century. In literary criticism Rodina Lermontov is regarded as a poetic work written by a romantic, but close to realism. The author poetizes the usual landscape, sees only everything beautiful in the peasant way of life, to some disadvantages is condescending.

An embodiment of traditional and nontraditional vocabulary became the poem "Motherland". M. Yu. Lermontov relied on tradition, but at the same time updated it. For example, many poets mentioned trees in their works, but Mikhail Yuryevich first drew attention to the birch - the symbol of Russia. With the homeland, the poet always had a feeling of melancholy and despondency, in this work there are also sad emotions.

Many people do not understand the poet's saying that he loves his country with "strange love". Its meaning is not how Lermontov loves, but what he likes: simple peasants, nature, native spaces, culture, ordinary folk life. The poet feels feelings for the Fatherland as a woman or a loved one, a close person. The verse "Homeland" Lermontov reveals his secret feelings, the author does not consider the advantages and disadvantages of Russia, he loves her the way she is. The poetry of Mikhail Yurievich was the beginning of a new trend, it greatly influenced the work of revolutionary democrats. Like Lermontov, Nekrasov wrote about the love of the Fatherland in the second half of the 19th century, and Blok at the beginning of the twentieth century.
