Amelotex: reviews are mixed

Amelotex occupies a special place in the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Comments of doctors and people who treated them are unequivocal: the medicine has a significant effect on improving health. It refers to the derivatives of enolic acid, a class of so-called oxicams. Preparations of this group are characterized by high analgesic (analgesic), anti-inflammatory, antipyretic characteristics.

The drug "Amelotex" is available in the form of a solution for deep administration and tablets. The solution itself is a slightly opalescent yellowish-green, very clear liquid.

The therapeutic substance Amelotex - meloksikam. As auxiliary components, sodium hydroxide, poloxamer 188, sodium chloride, glycofurfural, meglumine were used. The medicine produced from these components, well suppresses the inflammatory processes of chaga, but almost does not affect the kidneys, stomach, does not cause erosive phenomena.

The drug "Amelotex" with a deep introduction of 99% binds to plasma proteins, excellently penetrates through the histohematological barriers.

Who recommended Amelotex? The comments that doctors give about the medicine are almost unanimous. It is used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, arthrosis, arthrosis, ankylosing spondylitis, joint pain of unknown origin.

And how are patients treated with Amelotex? Reviews of this category of people are less straightforward. Despite the fact that most of them note a rapid improvement of well-being after a course of therapy, some are dissatisfied with the relatively large adverse reactions that occur during the treatment.

These reactions are described in the instructions for ampoules. There are a lot of them:

  • Anaphylactic, angioedema allergic reactions.
  • Violation of the clarity of vision, sometimes the fall of his sharpness.
  • Photosensitivity, erythema, sometimes toxic epidermal necrolysis (blistering skin lesions).
  • Edema, an increase in urea and creatine in the urine. Very rarely - the emergence of kidney failure.
  • Increased pressure, "hot flashes", palpitations.
  • Dizziness, migraine, sometimes confusion, loss of orientation, drowsiness, agitation.
  • Pain in the stomach, stomatitis, ulcerous lesions of mucous membranes, hepatitis, gastric bleeding, bronchospasm.

Doctors do not dispute the possibility of such adverse reactions from the use of the drug Amelotex. Their reviews overlap with the patients' opinions. However, doctors believe that with proper examination of the patient and accurate selection of dosage, such phenomena are minimal.

However, experts caution. Amelotex can not be used in conjunction with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs - this increases the risk of stomach ulcers.

Women who are being treated with this compound are recommended to pay more attention to protection from pregnancy: the drug reduces the effect of contraceptives.

If you put injections while taking anticoagulants, thrombolytics and heparin, then you can provoke bleeding. Combining drugs with diuretics or cephalosporin can disrupt the functioning of the kidneys.

Oral administration of this agent has an irritating effect on the intestinal tract and stomach, so many doctors prefer to prescribe treatment with injections.

In what cases is the drug Amelotex contraindicated?

  • Children under 15 years.
  • Pregnant and lactating.
  • With inflammation of the stomach and intestines.
  • With heart failure, after aortocoronary shunting.
