Aluminum shuttering: advantages, disadvantages, installation technology

Monolithic structures are much stronger and more durable than prefabricated structures, but sometimes because of too large a size it is necessary to build prefabricated buildings. The most common formwork is aluminum paneling for installation work at high altitudes: due to its light weight, it does not need to use a crane to move it, or you can do it all manually. Advantages, disadvantages

Mounting technology

Before starting the installation of the structure, it is necessary to prepare the site - remove large debris, building elements that can interfere with work, pour rubble on the bottom, under the base. Further work occurs with constant monitoring of the correctness of the installation of all elements using the level in the following order:

  1. Performing the breakdown of the foundation axes.
  2. Carry out the marking of the surface according to the project. For this, paint and pegs are used.
  3. Assembling the base with special locks. There must be at least three of them for each meter of the system. Castles are steel, elongated, wedge, cast pivots.
  4. Installation of all elements of the system, including angular.
  5. Installation of supports.
  6. The assembled aluminum wall formwork is checked for strength.
  7. The skeleton and deck are greased with oil, this will facilitate dismantling in the future.

All shields for the system are made in the form of interchangeable modules, so they can be rotated by either side to the structure.

After the vertical panels have been installed, their exact position is checked with a plumb line and, if necessary, adjusted so that the maximum difference in the surfaces does not exceed 2 cm. Then plywood panels are placed in special grooves and the solution is poured.

Dismantling

Before the aluminum wall formwork is dismantled, it is necessary to make sure that the concrete is frozen at least 70%. This usually occurs three weeks after the solution is poured. First of all, the elements are removed from the corners of the structure, since the smallest load falls on them. After 24 hours, remove external braces and fasteners, and only after that you can remove the shields. But it must be done very carefully and carefully, otherwise it can damage the edges or the concrete covering of the structure. In other words, the quality of construction depends not only on thorough and quality assembly, but also on careful dismantling.

Homemade or purchased design?

Often, because of the rather high cost of the shuttering system when constructing a house or hozpostroek, craftsmen use homemade products. They can be either removable or non-removable. Any available material is used for manufacturing:

  1. Profiled sheeting. Advantages - affordable cost, additional protection of surfaces. The disadvantage is a wavy surface, on which later it will be much more difficult to mount a heater and final finish.
  2. Tree. Advantages - availability, the ability to produce any form. Disadvantages - a long work on the assembly of the system, low strength: a tree can not withstand the weight of concrete.
  3. Galvanized metal. Advantages - quick installation, durability. Minus - low resistance against high humidity.

Given the shortcomings and advantages of the listed materials, the system of them is best done removable.

Well, what should I do if a large building is built and the material for the formwork is too expensive? It is best if the aluminum formwork is leased, because buying such an expensive product for a single use is unprofitable.
