All about the blue beret

Military, like representatives of all other professions, have their own distinctive form and attributes in it. This and all kinds of jackets, and T-shirts, and shorts, and gloves, and hats. One of such elements is the blue beret, which is mostly worn by the employees of the airborne troops of Russia and some other states.

History of occurrence

The form for employees of people is constantly changing. They try to make it better, more comfortable and more convenient. The headgear is also an important attribute in the uniform of any military and therefore undergoes some changes. But, for example, not everyone knows that first in the airborne troops it was supposed to wear a crimson beret. This was a worldwide tradition, and in many countries it has even survived to the present day. Its founder was the artist Zhuk, who is also the author of many books on small arms. But in 1968 the first persons of the state decided to replace them with blue berets. The war was associated not with red, but with radiant light blue. This headpiece was more suitable for parachute units and was very much liked by the employee himself.

Of course, the uniform style of the military uniform always existed, but the blue airborne airborne became an official element in the military suit on the orders of the USSR Ministry of Defense only in 1969 on July 26. Until that moment, there were no documents establishing such rules.

Distinctions of berets

It is known that the form of the military differs depending on the ranks. This applies to hats. For example, a blue beret for sergeants or soldiers in front has a star in a wreath, and on the officers is a cockade of the Air Force. The emblem of the Airborne Forces with a red flag on the left of the guards units, the creation of which is the idea of Margelov, a Soviet military leader, is placed on the left. In 1989, on March 4, new rules emerged regarding the wearing of uniforms, in which it was said about the obligatory arrangement of the flags on the berets of servicemen. However, such headgear did not have a uniform appearance, because they were made independently in each separate part.

Appearance

Berets for the military are manufactured according to a standard approved by the Department of the Ministry of Defense of Russia (of the first grade). Correspondences can be determined visually in sunny natural light or with the help of an instrumental method. The blue beret should also retain its color and shape when washing and rubbing. Headdresses of employees are from the 54th to 62nd size, which is determined by the girth of the head.

Who wears blue berets

In general, the appearance of headdresses differs depending on the activities of employees. The United Nations (United Nations) Airborne Forces , the Airborne Forces of the Russian Federation and Bulgaria, airmobile troops of Kazakhstan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan, artillery units in Israel, as well as special-purpose units of Russia, Kirghizia, Belarus carry a blue beret.
