Alexey Ivanov - the "golden Fund" of Russian Literature?

In this way, neither more nor less is the place of Alexei Ivanov in the literary hierarchy in Afisha.ru. Indeed, the author's talent is undeniable, the genre amplitude is overshooting. Equally impressive are the realistic creations ("Bluda and Mudo," "The Geographer Globes Drank"), and historical prose ("The Gold of the Riot," "The Heart of Parma"). Perhaps, the popularization of the author among the general population is hindered by such a spread - the target audience of genres practically does not overlap.
Alexei Ivanov - historical prose - "The Gold of the Rebellion", "The Heart of Parma".
Ivanov's historical prose can be called very arbitrary. Probably the author's motivation for writing texts is an obvious admiration for the geography and nature of the beloved region. His creations, with a lack of reliable sources, rather a fantasy on a historical subject, but so convincing that in many ways gave rise to a wave of interest in Perm, making it almost an alternative cultural capital of Russia. Leonid Yuzefovich in "Cranes and Dwarfs" quips paraphrasing Ivanov's penchant for historical speculation, investing tales of martial moose and other regional attractions in the mouth of an adventurous impostor who uses the information vacuum, the credulity of the public and his own narrative talent. I was surprised to learn that Yuzefovich was a passionate admirer of the Heart of Parma. At the same time, the unprepared reader will not be interested in such texts, there is no target audience for such creations. For fans of history - too little credibility, for fans of fantasy - too strange objects of fantasy, plus too complicated, half invented by the author "Old Siberian" language.
Alexei Ivanov - realistic prose - "The geographer globe drunk", "Bluda and Mudo."
Potentially more attractive to the mass audience is the realistic direction. Alexei Ivanov - one of the few who can convincingly describe the everyday side of modern life, without falling into the black and patriotic clergy. Unfortunately, from time to time Ivanov completely falls into the sin of philosophy, because of which "Obshchagu on blood", for example, it is impossible to read in principle: slutty hungover students explain that Hegel and Kant will get confused. In "Fornication and Mudo" - philosophical digressions with complex abbreviations can be cut out, they do not carry the semantic load, they are not remembered, the general meaning of the book is understandable without them. But as an obvious plus, the bonus for lovers of lyrical digressions - the theme of native natural history in Ivanov's realistic prose is fully represented, the actions take place against the background of touching landscapes, the events unfold in the process of rafting and forest walks with adventures, everything is very colorful and at the same time Time is appropriate.
In general, the main complaint to the author - why did he stop writing on a household theme? Yes, a professional ethnographer, museum director, a patriot of his native land, but who else should be entrusted with the artistic interpretation of modern life, demanding the same authenticity and impartiality? Zahar Prilepin describes the extremes that interest marginales, and indeed the real marginalized, and not those who were given such a role in the political hierarchy approved by the authorities. Dmitry Bykov rather clumsily tries to present current events as evidence of his dubious historical insights. I hope that after the soon-to-be-successful adaptation of the "Geographer" with Khabensky in the main role, the demand for realism from Ivanov will increase both from the public and the state, which has so far used (and how successfully!) The author's talent exclusively in the context of the historical substantiation of the state The power of the Russian land.
