"Byzantine" preparation: instructions for use and description

The drug "Byzanne" instruction represents as a hormonal agent, which is a derivative of nortestosterone and is part of a group of progestogens characterized by high antiandrogenic activity.

The basis of this drug is binding to the hormone receptors of the so-called "yellow body" of the ovaries. In this case, the "Byzanne" tool, the instruction to which it confirms, affects endometriosis by suppressing the trophic effects of estrogens, due to a decrease in their production and a decrease in their concentration in the blood. As for the pharmacokinetics of this hormonal drug, its highest concentrations are noted about one and a half to two hours after a single dose, and the half-life is about nine to ten hours.

Produced the drug "Byzanne", the instruction to which is always attached, in the form of white tablets, containing about two milligrams of dienogest as an active ingredient. Auxiliary substances are potato starch, lactose monohydrate, povidone K25, microcrystalline cellulose, magnesium stearate, crospovidone and talc. Proceeding from such a composition, experts generally recommend taking the "Byzanne" tablets for the treatment of patients suffering from endometriosis.

It is strictly forbidden to prescribe this hormonal agent in case of serious diseases and liver tumor, venous thromboembolism, acute thrombophlebitis, myocardial infarction, ischemic disease, transient ischemic attack or stroke. In diabetes mellitus, lactase deficiency, vaginal bleeding, galactose intolerance and cholestatic jaundice, pregnant women should also not start taking "Byzanne" tablets. The instruction testifies also to the inadmissibility of their use by patients under the age of eighteen, as well as by persons suffering from hypersensitivity to dienogest. With extreme caution use this drug for hypertension, hyperlipidemia, heart failure, thrombophlebitis of deep veins and depression.

A list of possible side effects provoked by the use of "Byzanne" tablets includes first of all headaches, mood changes, loss of libido, sleep disturbance, nervousness, hot flushes, bloating, back pain, flutulenia, nausea and alopecia. In addition, there may be increased irritability, onycholasia, vaginal candidiasis and asthenic conditions. Vaginal bleeding, abdominal pain, acne, arterial hypotension, hirsutism, hyperhidrosis and gingivitis can also be noted as a result of taking "Bezanne" tablets. Side effects are also expressed by increased appetite, dry eyes, noise in the ears, attention disturbance, muscle cramps, anemia, discomfort in the mammary glands and their tightness, dyspnea, pruritus, dermatitis, pigmentation disorder, atrophic vulvovaginitis, fibrocystic mastopathy.
