"Byzantine" preparation: instructions for use and description
The drug "Byzanne" instruction represents as a hormonal agent, which is a derivative of nortestosterone and is part of a group of progestogens characterized by high antiandrogenic activity.
The basis of this drug is binding to the hormone receptors of the so-called "yellow body" of the ovaries. In this case, the "Byzanne" tool, the instruction to which it confirms, affects endometriosis by suppressing the trophic effects of estrogens, due to a decrease in their production and a decrease in their concentration in the blood. As for the pharmacokinetics of this hormonal drug, its highest concentrations are noted about one and a half to two hours after a single dose, and the half-life is about nine to ten hours.
It is strictly forbidden to prescribe this hormonal agent in case of serious diseases and liver tumor, venous thromboembolism, acute thrombophlebitis, myocardial infarction, ischemic disease, transient ischemic attack or stroke. In diabetes mellitus, lactase deficiency, vaginal bleeding, galactose intolerance and cholestatic jaundice, pregnant women should also not start taking "Byzanne" tablets. The instruction testifies also to the inadmissibility of their use by patients under the age of eighteen, as well as by persons suffering from hypersensitivity to dienogest. With extreme caution use this drug for hypertension, hyperlipidemia, heart failure, thrombophlebitis of deep veins and depression.
