Akhmetov Rinat Leonidovich, whose photo is in this article, is a Donetsk businessman, the richest in Ukraine. He is the president of one of the Ukrainian football clubs, founded the company "System Capital Management". Member of the Party of Regions. Rinat Leonidovich is the founder of two funds. A family

Akhmetov Rinat Leonidovich was born on September 21, 1966 in Donetsk, in the family of a Tatar miner. His father, Leonid, a native of the Republic of Mordovia. Mother, Nyakia Nasredinovna, for a long time worked in the seller's trade. Now - head of the supervisory board of SCM.

Akhmetov's father, after getting a disease at work, had to leave the mine. Rinat Leonidovich has a brother, Igor. He worked for a long time at the mine, but because of his health, he had to quit. There was a moment in life when Rinat Leonidovich practically saved his life.

Childhood

Akhmetov's childhood was held in the Kuibyshev district, in the village of Oktyabrsky. There was almost nothing there, except waste pits and mines. Their family lived in a small 20-meter room. All the amenities, including the washbasin, were in the courtyard. They lived very poorly.

Rinat's neighbors remember a quiet and calm kid, although he was never a homebody. But on the football field, he changed radically and became very energetic and "revived". Akhmetov Rinat Leonidovich started his career with a simple forwarder of the Donetsk store. The owner of it was the well-known criminal authority Bragin named Alek Greek. From the store and began his acquaintance with Akhmetov.

There is another version concerning the name of Rinat. Not so long ago, Ukrainian journalists let out a rumor that he is the son of the former president of Ukraine Akhmetov Rinat Leonidovich. His real name is Kuchma. Motivate this conjecture by the fact that their faces are very similar. Akhmetov does not pay attention to such rumors, as they do not correspond to reality.

Charity

Akhmetov Rinat Leonidovich, whose biography has a lot of information about his enormous wealth, is considered one of the largest Ukrainian philanthropists. In 2005, Rinat Leonidovich established a charitable foundation. He is involved in many areas - helping cancer patients, creating new projects, there is a program for mass communications engaged in restoration and reconstruction of historical objects, and much more. The second fund - "Effective Governance" - was created by Akhmetov to improve the lives of Ukrainians.

Political activity

For a long time, Akhmetov managed to avoid participation in the political activities of the country, despite his high position and great fortune. But in 2004 everything changed because of the beginning of the "Orange Revolution". His fame obliged to react to the events taking place.

Akhmetov Rinat Leonidovich became the main sponsor in the election race of Yanukovych. At that time, he claimed the presidency. After losing to Yanukovych, who could only occupy the prime minister's seat, he became a member of his administration. As a result, Akhmetov became the shadow head of the Cabinet.

Since 2006, Rinat Leonidovich is a member of the Party of Regions. He provided great support to this faction. Akhmetov Rinat Leonidovich is married to Liliya Smirnova. She is the head of the SCM audit committee. They have two sons - Damir and Almir. The senior is a member of the supervisory board of Metinvest and SCM.
