Exercise for the development of the brain. Games for brain development

Reserves of the human intellect is an area that has yet to be studied for many and many years. Despite the rapid development of scientific progress, the physiology of the human brain is still largely a mystery concealed behind seven seals.

Gradually, however, the twilight veil over the nature of the mind is opened. This is due to the relentless work of many scientists of various disciplines: genetics, biology, psychology and others.

This review will present exercises for the development of the human brain, which have proved to be good practical tools for increasing intellectual potential.

1. Emancipation of consciousness

This first exercise is aimed at freeing the inner space of mind from intrusive, irrelevant thoughts. Thus, it allows you to largely relieve the head of the "garbage" - secondary information, in order to focus on the main.

First you need to take a sheet of paper and write down everything that constantly turns in your head. It's about obsessive thoughts, desires, plans, ideas and things like that.

It is advisable to formulate sentences as concisely as possible while writing down the minimum of words. Do not pay close attention to particulars and details, it is enough to state the essence. At the same time, remember: the more your list, the better!

When all thoughts in your head turn out to be represented on paper, you can proceed to the next stage: reduction. In short, you just need to reduce each item in your list to one or two keywords.

As a result, you will receive a comprehensive list of everything that you usually worry about during the day. Thanks to it, the risk of forgetting something or losing sight of it is minimized. Now you just need to take a look at this list to remember things that require certain actions, and not load your head with useless information. In addition, this exercise for the development of the brain helps to fine-tune the inner world.

2. Mental massage

First, take a comfortable pose, relax and take a few deep breaths-exhalations. Then close your eyes and imagine your brain inside your head. When you do this, imagine that you are massaging your brain with an imaginary hand. Such mental actions will in fact have a relaxing effect.

First, massage the outer layer of the brain, gradually moving inward. Repeat without haste this cycle time after time, allowing yourself to free yourself from stress and stress. Simultaneously visualize how the area of the brain is filled with energy.

After a while you will feel pleasant warmth and a small ringing in your ears. Do not pay attention to it, just continue the mental massage. The same goes for all sorts of thoughts that can spontaneously appear in your head. Let them be, but do not cling to them and avoid conscious mental activity. In the end, you can simply sit back and relax in the armchair.

This exercise will allow you to relieve tension, restore energy balance and optimize the brain. As a result, you will increase the productivity of mental activity, especially with the regular repetition of this training.

3. Exercise for concentration with a clock

Concentration is a key skill for intellectual development. It opens the door to a world of great achievements, as it helps to keep all the necessary things and information in focus. Concentration is also closely related to memory, and therefore it is very important to maintain it at the proper level by performing various developmental exercises. Here's one of them.

Put in front of you a watch equipped with a second hand. It is important at the same time that you, without straining, can focus on her look. To do this, arrange the clock so that they are in front of your face at a comfortable distance for you. As in the previous exercise, take a few deep breaths and then start watching the ticking of the clock, focusing on the movement of the second hand. Do not be distracted at the same time by extraneous thoughts and do not take your eyes off. If all the same it happened that you are distracted, then do not worry - there is nothing to worry about. Just start over.

Do the exercise as long as possible. To begin with, try to withstand at least a couple of minutes, but eventually increase the concentration time. Ideally, you need to develop the skill of keeping it up to a quarter of an hour or more.

When you feel confident, complicate the training by putting the clock in front of the TV turned on. Also, you can create yourself other obstacles, for example, turn on the radio or something like that. This will allow you not only to earn concentration, but also to learn to keep it on the background of distractions.

This exercise for brain development can also be practiced with a candle and in general with anything - with any point of space or plane. The advantage of working with a clock is that it will be easier for you to track time.

4. Exercise for the development of creative skills

To perfect your creative abilities, you need the development of the right hemisphere of the brain. Exercises for this are different, but the most simple and yet very effective is the following. Try to do as many things as possible with your left hand (for left-handers - right). This will allow you to avoid automatism and stimulate the development of the right hemisphere, which is responsible for creative abilities. For example, brush your teeth with your left hand, keep it with cutlery, ball-point pens, wipe the dust, open doors and windows and so on.

5. Exercise for Sensor Development

To improve the work of those areas of the brain that control the information received from the senses, there are a number of simple techniques to perform.

As is known, the main source of information about the external world for man is sight. Therefore, the rest of the senses are relegated to the background. To stimulate their development, one must often do the usual things with closed eyes. For example, walk around the house, take a shower, pour tea and so on. In addition, it would be nice to learn the sign language or even just to agree with relatives about sometimes explaining only with the help of gestures and conventional signs. Another good method is to carefully touch a small object, like a key fob, and then, putting it aside, present it to yourself in all its details.

6. Exercise for the development of associative memory

The next training has the appearance of a kind of game for the development of the brain. He assumes regular experiments with the image. Try to periodically change the hair and hair color, wear unusual clothes, try to wear different decorations, etc. The result of all these actions is similar to the so-called "jacket effect", when the latter literally changes the consciousness of a man. The same applies to women's heels. And frequent experiments with these connections make it possible to develop well associative thinking.

7. Training for the development of spatial memory

This exercise for the development of the brain, as recent discoveries in the field of physiology show, makes it possible to significantly push the boundaries of mental capacity. It is a question of using non-standard methods to solve usual problems. For example, always go to work or home different, each time in new ways, dress against the usual order, etc. The less automatic rituals you have, the better, as this will stimulate the development of spatial memory, as well as a number of other skills. Development of the brain hemispheres with this approach to everyday affairs will affect your creative and professional qualities - you will begin to easily select non-standard solutions for complex situations and, in general, "pump out" what is usually called savvy.

8. Exercise for the development of speech

Try to save your speech from stereotyped phrases. Especially it concerns answers to trivial questions such as "how are you". Exercise for the development of the brain in this case is to always invent something original, interesting. This will increase your creativity, make you more interesting to talk with and develop zones of the brain, called Wernicke and Brock regions, located in the left temporal part.

Some rules for the development of your child's brain

If you decide to apply these or those development techniques not for yourself, but for your own child, then consider several rules:

  1. Talk more with the child. Even if he is at the age in which he is not yet aware of the information that is being conveyed to him.
  2. The best games for brain development are arbitrary story-role scenarios. Let the child fantasize, and your task is to help him with the rules, unobtrusively acquainting him with the outside world. For example, if your child plays a space traveler, then tell him about the weightlessness, about the vast distances, about the absence of air outside our atmosphere, and so on.
  3. Praise a child not so much for his talents, as for diligence. Promotion for innate inclinations is fraught with time to grow into a praise, while the reward for effort teaches hard work.
  4. Do not make classes with children a tribute to your own ambitions. In other words, let the child's brain develop at a natural speed for him, without forcing events. Some parents, in order to brag about others, begin to put pressure on their child, causing the development of desired skills as early as possible. In practice, this is fraught with disruptions in the development of the brain, so refuse to desire the glory of the parent child prodigy.
  5. Do not require too much from your offspring. Coercion, especially in childhood, kills the research spirit, and the loss of curiosity, in turn, leads to a slowdown in development.
  6. Take into account the interests of the child. If you dream of seeing your child as a musician in the future, while it can not tolerate music - better do not rape it and let focus on what it really has interest and inclination. Always remember that the child's preferences are higher than your own.
