Thanks to the interchangeability of the products included in its composition, you can receive an entirely new taste of the pie each time, most importantly, do not be afraid of experiments, and you will succeed.

The secret of this extraordinarily beautiful pie in a special laying of the dough, which creates its attractive appearance with alternating strips of white and chocolate color. Let's look at a few recipes to see if it's easy to make a zebra cake.

Zebra cake recipe

It is necessary to beat five eggs with a glass of sugar, if you like sweet, then you can take two glasses and add vanillin at will. The mass is doubled in volume. Then add a glass of sour cream or kefir to this mixture. Quench half a teaspoon of soda with vinegar and also add to the mixture and mix well. Then add the sifted flour (two and a half cups). So, the dough is ready. Now it should be divided into two equal parts: one to leave, as is, and the second to add three tablespoons of cocoa.

The form in which you will bake Zebra cake, you must first lubricate with margarine or vegetable oil. Now comes the most creative moment - laying out the test. It can be made white with thin chocolate stripes or chocolate with white, it all depends on you. The principle is that the dough is laid out on the middle of the form alternately white and chocolate, so the strips are formed. Bake the product for at least half an hour at 180 degrees in the oven. Willingness is checked by a toothpick, if dry - the pie is ready.

Another recipe for Zebra

Grind fifty grams of almonds. Black chocolate (half the tiles) grate on a fine grater. Whip three eggs with 150 g of powdered sugar. Melt 150 g of butter and add to the beaten eggs, there are also 150 g of flour and a teaspoon of baking powder. Stir thoroughly. In one half of the dough, add 50 g of Kako, and the second - Almonds. Do not forget to leave some for sprinkling on top. Lubricate the form and lay out in turn a staggered white and brown dough. Sprinkle chocolate and nuts on top and put in the oven. The temperature regime is the same.

And the last recipe

Whip 5 eggs with two glasses of sugar, then add a glass of sour cream and a half teaspoon of soda. Do not stop whipping, enter 200 g of melted butter. Then gradually add the sifted flour (2 cups). Stir well. The finished dough is divided into two parts, and in one you add three tablespoons of cocoa. On a lubricated frying pan pour alternately light and dark dough. Bake under the same conditions.

Components can be replaced: oil for margarine, sour cream for yogurt or mayonnaise, you can vary the number of eggs - everything is in your hands. Adding different nuts, get a different taste. You can add a cherry in the dark dough. Dough to divide not into two, but into three parts and add to the third lemon or orange peel or crushed orange. Then the cake will become even brighter.

You can decorate Zebra cake differently:

  • Pour over chocolate glaze;
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar;
  • Spread the condensed milk and sprinkle with nuts.
