Adjustment of VAZ 2106 valves by one's own hands
All motorists know that in every car between the valves there is a small gap. Often this value is 0.15 millimeters. This clearance is made so that during operation of the engine the mechanisms do not jam between themselves due to heating. As we know, the working temperature of the motor is 85 degrees Celsius. It is not difficult to imagine what difference between the gaps will be formed if the machine is cooled at minus 20 degrees, and what will happen when the engine reaches its operating temperature.
Determine the distance between parts
First, you need to determine the exact gap between the valves. To adjust the valves VAZ 2106 was successful, we remove the lid of the unit and install the piston 4 cylinder in the TDC - the top dead center.

To be more convenient to consider the amount of rotation, track it by the value of the ignition distributor. Previously, you need to remove the cover from it. Before each turn, mark the position of the slider and repeat this process. It is important to ensure that the value of our "indicator" does not exceed ¼ of the turnover. Then you will definitely be sure that the crankshaft rotated 180 degrees.
