A volleyball court is a playing field for fans of team games

What is volleyball? This is one of the most popular games in the world. In English it means "flying ball" or "floating ball". Volleyball is a team game. The essence of it is that two equal in number of players teams compete in a special field or a site, separated by a grid. Players try to direct the ball to the opponent's side so that he touches the ground, or the opponent made a foul. However, during an attack, players do not have the right to make more than three touches of the ball in a row. A volleyball court is a kind of battlefield between players of competing teams. In addition to professionalism and experience, volleyball players must have good jumping ability to be able to jump high above the net, as well as coordination, quick reaction, endurance, high concentration of attention, physical strength for a successful attacking blow.

In modern sports there are several varieties of volleyball: beach, Japanese (mini), park, pioneerball. Naturally, the volleyball court for each of these games is individual in size, equipment and coverage, but the general characteristics are the same. The volleyball field must have a play and free zone. It should be rectangular in shape. The width of the free zone along the perimeter of the site is at least three meters. In order for volleyball players to be comfortable to play, the surface of the platform must be flat, horizontal and homogeneous. It is strictly forbidden to hold competitions on an uneven and slippery surface. The exception is an open volleyball court, where the slope angle for drainage can be 5 mm per 1 m of area.

The playing field in the hall is painted in light colors. The marking lines have a white color or other light shade, different from the floor. The width of the marking is 5 cm. The volleyball court on four sides is limited to two side and two front lines, which enter into the field size. The middle line divides the volleyball court into two equal parts. It is held directly under the net, connecting the side. The attack zone limits the front zone on each playground.

Volleyball equipment for sports grounds:

1. Grid. It is installed above the middle line. The height of the grid placement depends on what game is to be, female or male. It is measured in the center of the playground. Also the height should be exactly the same over both side lines. The length of the grid depends on the size of the sports grounds.
2. Antennas. These are flexible rods made of a durable material, for example, glass fiber. They are attached to the side bands and are located on both sides of the grid. Usually, the antennas are colored with red and white stripes. They are considered part of the grid.
3. Racks. They serve to maintain the grid. Racks are installed behind the side lines. Their height is adjustable.
4. Judging tower. This is a necessary element of volleyball professional equipment.
5. Volleyball. For each variety of volleyball, they are somewhat different. The ball for ordinary volleyball and pioneerball can be white or multi-colored. It weighs from 260 to 280 grams, the length of its circumference - 65 cm. For beach volleyball take more balls, but with less internal pressure. Players in mini volley use balls weighing 50 grams, a diameter of 35 cm in descending form.
