The city of Kirishi (Leningrad region) is the center of the petrochemical industry. Until 1965 he had the status of a village. In 2013, it was home to 52,996 people. The distance to St. Petersburg is 160 kilometers.

History

The first mention of Kirishi refers to 1693. The significant development of this settlement was in the 1920s.
