In December 1945, the future actor Valery Ryzhakov was born. His acting career began at the age of 15. It was at this age that he starred in such films as "My Friend, Kolka!" And "The Tale of Fiery Years." In them he played the episodic role of schoolchildren, and in the credits his name was not even indicated. But in the film for children "Mishka, Serega and I" Valeria got the main role of the cowardly honors pupil Garik Varezin.

Valery after graduation enters the studio of Vladimir Belokurov under VGIK and is issued in 1967. Then two years (1968-1970) he works in the theater of the Soviet Army. Even in his childhood, he was constantly taken to the church by his grandmother - and not just a candle, namely, the sacrament. Therefore, Valery always treated the church life with great respect. And then one day he was brought to one of the monks in order that he confess Valery. Confession took an hour and a half, and after that he no longer saw himself in a mundane life. After that, he was twice offered to be cut to monks, but both times he was prevented from doing something about this step. That work was piling on, but perhaps most of all, the fear for my mother Elena Ivanovna kept . He was very afraid that she would not understand him, and simply could not leave her alone. And when my mother was no more, an ancient church was opened in Troitsk-Golenishchev. Since then, all Valery's thoughts have been only about working in it. He began to ask the rector of the church of the archpriest Sergius Pravdoliubov to accept him as a brother. The request was granted.
