All this is poured over with ketchup and mayonnaise, wrapped up.

There are several tricks how to cook shawarma at home, so that it turned out much tastier and juicier bought somewhere. So, ketchup and mayonnaise can be replaced with a sauce, for example, tkemali, tobasco, etc. Lavash for the dish should be fresh, as it will be difficult to roll the next day, it can break and crumble. If there is a need to make this dish later, and lavash is already bought, you can put it in the freezer until you need it.

Another way to make a shawarma at home is as follows. Lamb marinated in vinegar, mixed with spices and garlic, for several hours. Next, pieces of meat are baked in foil, in a preheated oven. Diced tomatoes and cucumbers are put into ready-made meat, mixed. On a thin lavash is laid out a filling of lamb with vegetables. From above everything is poured with sauce, pita bread rolls. For the sauce, chop the onion, garlic, pickled cucumber with the addition of sour cream in a blender.

Talking about how to cook shawarma at home, it is worth remembering that, by diversifying the ingredients for the filling, you can extend the taste sensations from the dish itself. For example, grated cheese is well combined with meat, various stewed vegetables - aubergines and zucchini, Korean salads. The acuity of shawarma depends on the taste preferences of the cook. Since this is a dish of Caucasian cuisine, a little pepper is still worth adding in any case.
