Historical reference

The formation of a well-coordinated team and strong production base took place under extreme circumstances. In 1941, on the outskirts of Cheboksary brought in the cars and unloaded in the middle of the field equipment of the Kharkov and Leningrad electromechanical plants. Hastily the appointed management was ordered to establish in the shortest possible time the release of scarce electronic components. Surprisingly, since the beginning of December the factory workers have begun to manufacture relays, marine equipment, components for aircraft and tanks. The labor feat did not go unnoticed: the government noted the efforts of the factory workers with the Order of the Red Banner of Labor, awarded in 1944.

The rapid post-war development of industry required the presence of an extensive energy network, reliably protected from natural phenomena, overloads, emergency situations. Cheboksary electrical equipment plant, by that time already a large electrotechnical enterprise, became the leader in the manufacture of relay protection. Elemental power plants, including nuclear ones, thousands of distribution substations, tens of thousands of transformers operate on its elemental base. In 1971 the factory workers were awarded the Order of the October Revolution.

Over the years of restructuring, ChEAZ has not squandered the potential accumulated by labor generations. On the contrary, its products are some of the best in the world in this segment.
