Young Hero of Russia - Epov Yevgeny Yuryevich

Many young guys dream to serve in the army, get a decent education, achieve success in their careers and acquire a strong family. Most dreams come true, but some of the guys are not destined to realize them, because their life breaks off in military service. One of these guys is Epov Evgeny Yurievich. He was a sergeant of special forces, he died while performing a combat mission.

Brief description of childhood Zhenya

Epov Yevgeny Yuryevich was born on the fourth of October, one thousand nine hundred and eighty-eight. He grew up in a small village of Milgidun, which is in the Chita region (now the Trans-Baikal Territory).

The boy all his childhood was fond of sports, was engaged in football and boxing. He graduated from nine classes in an ordinary high school, then entered the school. His Eugene graduated with honors.

Service to the Motherland

In two thousand and six, Epov Evgeny Yurievich went to serve in the troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. After serving a year, he decided to continue his military career and stayed on by signing a contract. The place of his service was in Chelyabinsk, where Eugene met his love - Anastasia Vershinin, who became his civil wife.

In October 2000, he successfully completed the qualification tests and got the full right to wear a maroon beret.

Epov Yevgeny Yuryevich took part in the combat missions, which were set for the purpose of counter-terrorist operations. These tasks were carried out by his detachment in the North Caucasus region.

New combat mission

The next trip for Eugene was a trip to Dagestan. It was in November two thousand and eleven. His detachment was to take part in the counter-terrorist operation, the sweep of the militants. They were sent to the Kizlyar District, where on January 27, two thousand and twelve, they entered into battle with a group of militants. The case took place in a forest, the bandits were hiding from the law, but they were found by special forces.

Eugene, the eldest of the guys in his group, went to the aid of wounded comrades, not allowing opponents to approach them. He, firing back, moved closer to his boys. Suddenly, the militants threw another hand grenade in the direction of the injured commandos. Eugene, without thinking for a long time, rushed to her. But appreciating that there is no time to drop it, fell on her. Thus, Eugene saved a lot of guys by covering the grenade with himself, taking all the power of the explosion on himself.

In addition to Zhenya, three more children died in this battle, four were seriously injured, but survived.

Help, arrived in time for the fighters, took the wounded to a safe place and completely destroyed the remaining group of gangsters.

Already after everything was over, it became clear that Ephes at the cost of his own life helped to fulfill the task set before them. Within one day, the troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs lost their best fighters.

At the time of his death, Eugene was only twenty-three years old. He was buried in the cemetery of his native village, where currently lives Zhenya's mother - Kozhukhovskaya Valentina Ivanovna. For her, the loss of her beloved son was the tragedy of all life.

The funeral took place on February 3rd, 2012. Near the school where he studied, put a monument in his honor. Epov Yevgeny Yurievich, whose biography is so short and sad, became a hero not only in his village, but throughout Russia. In Chita, a stele was erected in his honor near the memorial of the Combat and labor glory of the inhabitants of the Trans-Baikal Territory.

For courage, courage and heroism, which Evgeny showed in his last battlefield, he was given posthumously the title of Hero of Russia by presidential decree. This decree was signed on April twenty-two, two thousand and twelve.

The name of Yevgeny was permanently inscribed on the list of personnel of the twenty-third military detachment, in the ranks of which he went to Dagestan. Memorial plaques in memory of Eugene Epea were delivered to the school, where he once studied, and at the Chelyabinsk Institute of Railways.
