Why does a person sweat strongly? The main causes of hyperhidrosis

After physical exertion, as well as with overheating of the body, even a healthy person begins to sweat. Everyone knows that in different people sweat is released in different quantities, and its composition also differs. However, some experience increased sweating, also known as hyperhidrosis. Why does a person sweat hard and how to deal with this phenomenon?

In some cases, hyperhidrosis occurs as a side effect of the use of drugs. It is best to immediately consult a doctor, so that he ruled out the presence of any infection in the body and found the real cause of excessive sweating.

By the way, infectious diseases are very often the answer to the question of why a person sweats heavily. A clear example of this is tuberculosis. Most often, it is accompanied by frequent and severe cough, but there are also hidden forms of the disease, in which the only symptoms indicative of its presence are general weakness of the body, as well as sweating. The cause of the latter may also be influenza and similar viral infections. In this case, as a rule, one of the main symptoms is also a rise in temperature.

Talking about why a person sweats heavily, it is also superfluous to say about the diseases of the endocrine system. Hyperhidrosis is a concomitant symptom for many of them. First of all, it is, of course, an increased function (hyperfunction) of the thyroid gland, in the people also called "goiter" or "pop-eyed". As a result of a sharp increase in the number of thyroid hormones in the body, a person appears on the neck of a person, resembling an avian goiter (actually, the enlarged gland itself), and the eyes become extremely bulging. Other symptoms of hyperfunction of the organ - rapid heartbeat, a sharp change in emotional state. Among the endocrine diseases leading to hyperhidrosis, there is also diabetes mellitus. Observing all the recommendations of a doctor-endocrinologist, the condition can be stabilized and get rid of excessive sweating.

Another reason why a person sweats heavily is cancer. Many tumor processes are characterized by symptoms such as fever and a lot of sweat. In particular, it can be attributed to intestinal tumors, as well as female genitalia (in some cases).

Considering the reasons why a person sweats very much, it is worth mentioning that many women face a similar problem during pregnancy. The reason for this is changes in the hormonal background of the body. Sometimes the sweating processes are normalized even during the period of gestation, but sometimes they persist even for some time after the birth. To take a great interest in medical preparations, herbal infusions and even traditional hygienic deodorants for pregnant and lactating mothers is not recommended, and therefore it is worth emphasizing standard activities such as a shower, wiping sweaty places with a damp towel or napkins, etc.

And, finally, another possible reason for what a person sweats heavily is the disturbance in the work of the nervous system. In this case, sweat can stand out from the slightest excitement.

It is important to remember that the true cause of hyperhidrosis can only be established by a doctor, and therefore, faced with this problem, it is better not to delay the visit to the clinic, because profuse sweating can be a symptom of very serious diseases.
