Where there are the relics of Saint Matrona, healing and grace

Many pilgrims come to Pokrovsky Women's Monastery in Moscow, where the relics of Saint Matrona are located, overcoming thousands of kilometers to pray for health, receive blessings or answers to difficult questions. They say that Mother herself, the so-called Matron during her lifetime, bequeathed to everyone to come to her grave, promising to help the suffering and after death. As pilgrims say, who bowed to the relics of the Moscow saint, whether the place where the relics of the Holy Matrona, or the power of prayer and sincere repentance work miracles. Many were cured here of fatal diseases, gained faith and hope, miraculously after visiting this place, some believers were given serious everyday problems.

Holy Matrona Moscow is one of the "youngest" saints in Orthodoxy. Its date and place of birth is exactly known - in 1881, in the village of Sebino, Tula Province. She was born in a large family of peasants absolutely blind. Her mother, being pregnant with her, saw a prophetic dream, in which the future daughter appeared to her as a white bird with closed eyes. On the body of the newborn was a cross-shaped bulge. From the very beginning the girl was drawn to the church. Despite the blindness, at the age of seven she went to the church herself, where she not only prayed in the service, but also communicated with the parishioners.

The future saint at the age of seventeen, already having a reputation as a seer, who did not take a penny for her good deeds, for ever lost the opportunity to walk on her own-her legs were cut off. However, this did not annoy Matron and did not reduce the flow of the suffering who came to her, wherever she lived.

Today, the place where the relics of Saint Matrona are located, is not a secret for anyone. And in life to find it was not so simple. The healer after the revolution was forced to leave her father's house in order not to compromise siblings who actively built communism in a single collective farm. But in Moscow, where she moved to in 1925, she did not have a permanent home, interrupting the apartments and houses of good acquaintances. At the same time, Matrona was sometimes forced to break out from her place in order to avoid arrest, because her activities were contrary to the basic postulates of the Communist Party and the Bolsheviks, who denied the existence of God and persecuted his followers.

Today, where the relics of Saint Matrona are located, you can hear many stories about the miracles that she created during her lifetime and after her death. One of the interesting stories concerns her life in Moscow and another unsuccessful arrest. So, the Chekist, who came to arrest the healer, she advised to quickly run home and save his wife, with whom the misfortune happened at that time. The man listened to the seer and saved the life of his wife, and then flatly refused to pursue Matron.

The saint died in 1952. Later on the site of her grave a chapel grew up - the church of Matrona of Moscow, which at any time of the year simply drowns in flowers. Where there are the relics of Matrona (in the Intercession Church of the Intercession Monastery) there are also a lot of flowers. They say that Mother loved them very much during her lifetime.
