When is the full name "Glory" - a boy or a girl?

This name simply programs the child for success, no matter whether it's a boy or a girl. We, the Slavs, were very fortunate. Among the peoples speaking the Romance languages, there is only a female version - Gloria. And we, the sonorous word of Glory (the full name can be very different) can be called children of both sexes. What is its peculiarity? This is the so-called pair name. As Evgeniy / Iya, Valery / I, Valentine / a. In a diminutive (scholarly, hypocritical) form they sound the same: Zhenya, Lera, Valya.

In addition, it is also a dibasic name. This means that in the complex with it, one must necessarily add a root word. Most often it goes at the beginning and thus directs, correlates the full name. "Glory" because of this prefix can be directed to both the person himself and the deity. For example, Boguslav / oh was called by those who honor God. Children were called so that they were religious. But the wishes of growing, rattling or pompous praise and fame gave rise to Rosti, Gremi and Vyacheslavov. And how did the hopes of the fathers respond to the fact that the sons would earn themselves laurels in the military field? They gave the world the name of Mieczyslaw. And so on.

There is only one original full name - "Glory" in it is put in the beginning. Who should win the respect and respect of people on their path in life? This is Slawomir and his namesake (Slavomira). But the diminutive nickname for the girl will sound like "Peace." The bearers of such double names, as well as their parents, were lucky also in that they have at least two variants of the petting-and-diminishing nickname for the child. The boy can be Yarik, Vlad, Stas, Rostik, Radko, Vaclav, Bogusem ... And the girls, apart from the usual Glory, can be affectionately called Ladas, Miracles, Miles and even Light. How does this work out? The last two diminutive names coincide with Lyudmila and Svetlana. But what will be written in the passport of these women? Yes Miloslav and Svetislava.

It happened so in the Russian language. Mostly, if someone is called "Glory" in a friendly way, Vyacheslav will be the full name for that man. Do not call him, in fact, Vyachik? This name has many analogues in other related languages: Ventsislav or Vaclav. It was formed from the archaic word "heavy," which means "much larger" or, as they would say today, "to the maximum". This name was practically not met until the second half of the XIX century, because Václav (aka Laszlo) - a Catholic saint of the 10th century and he was not included in the Orthodox saints. But interest in Old Russian antiquities resurrected the name Vecheslav.

Whatever the full name, Glory always longs for laurels and praise. Above these (or her) makings, parents need to work very hard to turn the excessive ambitions of their child into a healthy channel. It is necessary to instill in a small ambitious man that he can not succeed literally in all spheres of life. Otherwise, unprepared Slava, faced with the fact that he is not the most-talented student in the circle of drawing, can fall into frustration and earn themselves complexes for life.

But Yaroslav (this is a full name, Glory is again a diminutive one) will face other problems in life. His leadership qualities hit the edge already in childhood. He is the pioneer and organizer of all pranks. But the prefix "Yary", which means "stormy", "strong," can serve such a glory unseemly service. Sometimes he will act too voluntarily, too hard and straightforward, than he can spoil his relations with his colleagues, and especially his subordinates. But it was not without reason that one of the princes of Kiev wore the nickname Yaroslav the Wise - such a man has the intelligence to smooth out the conflict and defuse the situation.
