What sewer well to choose for a frequent home?

Almost all of us have become very attached to comfort. A normal level of comfort is inconceivable without a quality sewer system. That's why we'll talk about which sewer well to choose for a frequent home.

The difficulty lies in the fact that in rural areas there is practically no centralized sewage system anywhere. Of course, it is simpler and best to make a drainage system even at the stage of building a house, but it is quite realistic to do this afterwards. There are several of its most common types. They include a simple cesspool, a septic tank or a sewage well of a filtration type. Something specific is difficult to advise, because the choice depends not only on your preferences, but also on the characteristics of the area where you live.

The easiest way is to equip the cesspool. The disadvantage of such a system is that it must be periodically cleaned. To do this, you can use a fecal pump, but it's easier to use the services of professional sewers. There is one more restriction: the cesspool can be done only where groundwater lies deep beneath the surface of the soil. The depth of such a pit for a normal drain must be at least 2.5 meters, with the walls should be laid with a brick, or use for this purpose sewage wells, reinforced concrete.

To protect yourself from unpleasant odors, you should place this system on the leeward side of the yard, and make the hatch double, with a quality cover. Do not forget about the ventilation pipe, which should extend beyond the well at a minimum of 0.6-0.8 m.

The filtration system is more efficient, but still more suitable for those farms that produce an average amount of sewage. As in the previous case, the walls are preferably made of bricks or concrete rings. Such a sewerage well should be made at least 2.5 meters deep, and its width must be at least one meter. Outside, the structure is awakened by a high-quality building crushed stone, which is poured into a layer of approximately 0.3 m. It should be noted that the internal walls of the tank must be carefully plastered with a thick cement mortar.

But experts agree that for a private house is best suited septic tank. Its design is based on a system of interconnected wells. As in the case of the filtration type, each of them must have a depth of at least 2.5 m, but the width is more preferable from 1.5 m. The volume of the tank is calculated so that the total amount of incoming sewage can remain in it for at least three days. A high-quality ventilation system is also very important , since it is the presence of air that is the most important contributing factor in the biological decomposition of waste that characterizes a sewage well of this type.

It must be said that in the construction of any sewage system, all sanitary regulations must be strictly followed. It is because of individual sanitary norms that the sewage well, whose price can be very attractive, may not suit you. Study the SNIPs in the relevant field. Perhaps, for the construction of a large sewage system, you will have to negotiate with representatives of local government. In 100% of cases, they will have to be talked about when in your area the ground waters come close to the soil surface.
