What makes shelves in a bath? Only from a tree!

Folk wisdom says: "If you steamed in a bath - you never grow old." The best remedy to preserve health, youth and beauty is a hot Russian steam room, and a Finnish sauna is also not bad. But the pleasure of using this grace entirely depends on the internal arrangement of the bath rooms. The bath does not like the fuss, the atmosphere in it should have to relax, relax and calm, so every inner element requires close attention. The main room is a thermae, in which there should be comfortable, practical shelves, so that, as they say, the body rested and the soul reared up.

Shelfs in the bathhouse are traditionally built of soft, unsmutable wood. Despite the pleasant smell of coniferous trees, they are never used for rooms that are intensively heated. Resin, having in general the healing properties, can cause a lot of discomfort and even damage when heated. It is rich in medicinal aromatic oil, when heated, the pinene contained in it can cause poisoning.

Benches and shelves in the bath are made of wood with a pleasant smell and low heat capacity, most often from lime, poplar, aspen, birch. These rocks have all the necessary properties for the device of an excellent steam room: they warm up quickly, but at the same time they keep the temperature comfortable for the body, are pleasant to the touch, they tolerate high humidity well. At the same time, when heated, they exude a pleasant soothing aroma that promotes relaxation and healing.

An obvious leader in the qualitative decoration of the bath, especially the steam room is the linden tree. The wood of this tree gives off inexpressibly fragrant essential oils, which possess bactericidal and anti-inflammatory action. It is generally recognized that the linden has positive energy. In addition, phytoncidae strengthen sweating, which is especially appropriate in the steam room.

Traditionally, the shelves in the bath make of aspen, despite the fact that in ancient times the Slavs considered it an unhappy tree. Traditional healers claim that aspen has a unique ability to rid itself of diseases and to improve the human body. Its wood has high performance characteristics: strength, resistance to moisture and the appearance of rot. Under the influence of high temperature and steam, the aspen shelves do not crack, do not crumple, do not lose color and are neat. And most importantly, they do not burn so hot that they can burn themselves.

Pick up the perfect wood for finishing the steam room and the device shelves is quite difficult. For example, softwood for all its excellent qualities has a disadvantage - poor resistance to cracking. Since wooden shelves in the bath do not require a significant amount of material, many prefer not to save and buy for them the expensive wood of the African oak of Abashi. The board from this solid rock is not deformed, does not crack, is not afraid of heat and moisture. Oak abashi has a porous structure and accordingly low thermal conductivity, because the shelves for the bath in the steam room almost do not heat up, you can sit and lie on them without fear of getting burned. The abasha wood is light in color and beautiful in structure, it does not darken with time and retains its attractive appearance for a long time. The choice of abashi on the shelves in the bathhouse, despite the high price, is justified by the longevity, practicality and undeniable health benefits.

Wood suitable for interior decoration and shelving in the bath is not limited to the mentioned rocks, other wood materials can be chosen, but the requirements for their properties remain the same: in the first place, expediency and utility, and only then beauty, prestige and price. It must be remembered that a bath is not just a place for washing, but in some way a medical complex.
