What is persecution mania?

Every person perceives reality in his own way. Unfortunately, not everyone can take reality adequately. The representation of some people about it is highly distorted, not true. As a rule, it is somehow connected with any disorders of the psyche. Against the background of their numerous phobias and mania. Both can significantly complicate a person's life.

In some cases, a person is disturbed by characteristic anxious thoughts, but the mind remains pure, the reality is perceived adequately. Some patients also face more serious problems. The persecution mania becomes so strong that all their actions are somehow connected with the desire to protect themselves or simply avoid a potentially dangerous situation.

Patients are always on a platoon. They can not relax, because they believe that the danger never disappears. This leads to a violation of sleep. Insomnia can be very strong. Mania of persecution can manifest itself after a serious head trauma, stress. It can also occur as a result of prolonged use of drugs and alcohol.

If the cause is alcohol, drugs, medications - a person must abandon them and immediately undergo a course of rehabilitation. It will take time, but the disease will recede.

Some doctors prescribe psychotropic drugs. They not only help to stop the symptoms, but also improve the general condition of the patient.

As a rule, patients deny that they have paranoia. The first step towards recovery, as in many such cases, will be the realization that there is a problem. A patient who wants to come to a normal state should visit a psychologist. Experts, as a rule, advise in such cases to seek support in the circle of relatives and friends. A person must find something that distracts from bad thoughts.
