What if the adult's eyes fester?

The most common cause of a condition when the eyes of an adult or a child are festering is inflammation of the conjunctiva. Disease in most cases becomes an infection. A conjunctiva is the skin of the eyeball that covers the inside of the eyelids and the eyeball itself . When this membrane becomes inflamed, such an infectious disease as conjunctivitis begins, the main symptom of which is the appearance of pus.

Pus is an accumulation of dead cells and products of the life processes of bacteria. The appearance of pus is caused by the immunity of a person who instantly reacts to the multiplying pathogenic bacteria and kills them.

Sore eyes in an adult

The cause of the disease most often become dirty hands or foreign bodies, which bring bacteria to the mucous eyes.

The main symptoms of conjunctivitis: pain, it is difficult to open the eye due to the accumulation of dried pus, itching, swelling and redness. It is possible to raise the temperature.

Gnoyatsya eyes in the adult: how to treat

This common disease is treated quite simply. The main thing is to know how to do it correctly. First, you need to treat both eyes, despite the fact that only one hurts. And you have to start each procedure with a healthy one.

First of all, the dried pus that accumulates during sleep is removed with a cotton swab with an antiseptic. Then the eyes are thoroughly washed with the same solution. Furacilin or manganese in a weak concentration (pale pink color) is suitable for this purpose. You can rinse with a pear or a syringe without needles. Such actions will remove all pus from the eye and cleanse the conjunctiva.

Now you can use special drugs, the effect of which will be more productive after the performed procedures. When purulent conjunctivitis will help antibacterial drugs in the form of drops or ointments, for example, the drug "Floxal". It has a pronounced antimicrobial effect directed against pathogenic bacteria, which most often cause infection-inflammatory lesions of the eyes. It is important to remember that with bacterial conjunctivitis, drops should be instilled 2-4 times a day until the symptoms disappear completely, but not less than 7 consecutive days, even if the painful manifestations are removed almost immediately. This is due to the fact that microorganisms have the ability to develop resistance to any antibacterial drugs, and if the course of treatment is interrupted immediately after the disappearance of the symptoms of inflammation, the effectiveness of subsequent use of the drug may be significantly lower. In the case of adult eyes festering, a solution of levomycetin will be helpful. One drop in each eye is enough. Bury once a hour to exclude the development of drug-resistant microbes and the chronic nature of the disease. If necessary, the process of washing from pus is repeated. Before going to sleep under the lower eyelid tetracycline ophthalmic ointment is put.

Infectious diseases of the eye in the form of viral conjunctivitis also do not exclude eye injuries. By themselves, viral lesions are not purulent. Most often, against their background, also develops a bacterial infection that causes purulent discharge.

First aid

When the adult's eyes fester, or there is a suspicion of any inflammation of the eyes, of course, one should run to the ophthalmologist, but at home it is recommended to do the following.

Grass and chamomile flowers are boiled, covered and insisted for an hour. Then gauze or cotton swabs are dipped into the filtered solution and make lotions on both eyes. By the same recipe, you can prepare the infusion of calendula.

Another recipe for a remedy that works well for eye infections: 100 g of fresh rose hips, boil, cool the broth and use for lotions.

There are cases of eye fainting due to allergic reactions. For example, visiting the pool with chloride water, baths with aromatic oils. Excluding an allergen from life will save you from eye disease.
