What flowers to choose for a balcony?

Picking up beautifully beautiful flowers for the balcony only at first glance seems very easy. But in reality this is far from the case. To plants well established in a new place, it is necessary to take into account a number of nuances: illumination, ventilation, the size of the balcony itself. In addition, plant growers often come across the fact that varieties seemingly created especially for terraces, with simple requirements for care, start to grow not so richly and bloom less abundantly than expected.

Growing flowers for a balcony, it is very easy to make mistakes both at landing, and at pruning. And if the plants were initially chosen incorrectly, then the beautiful composition can not be waited. Therefore, before you begin the planting of greenery of the selected plot, you need to think which flowers are best to plant.

Among plant growers there is a differentiation of plants into three groups: highly expanding, compact and slightly expanding. We can say that they do not make any special requirements to the ground, watering or lighting. Flowers for the balcony can be both light-loving and shade-loving. But it's better to choose a composition so that the plants are either abundantly expanding, or on the contrary, compact. Flowers of different types do not fit well together.

So, what flowers to grow on the balcony to create an excellent composition? To the group of strongly expanding bushy plants, it is possible to classify the following species, which look great alongside:

- Surfonia. This is a kind of ampelian petunia. Its flowers can be of various shapes and colors, most often they are funnel-shaped, up to 7 cm in diameter. All subspecies of the surfina are characterized by abundant flowering. These flowers for the balcony are well tolerated by drafts, are not demanding for watering and lighting. There is a very beautiful subspecies of miniature surfins, which are very popular among landscape designers.

- Chrysanthemum shrubby. Its types are perhaps the most popular for a balcony. This delightful plant in the flowering period is strewn with bright small flowers, like chamomile. There are so many flowers that you can not see the green leaves. Usually chrysanthemum plays the main role in the composition.

- Feruloliform sequence. This incredibly beautiful plant has lacy leaves, similar to fennel. Flowers - stars of bright yellow color - add to this kind of additional charm.

From compact, weakly growing plants, we can distinguish the following:

- Houston hasteron. A beautiful plant with very fluffy snow-white inflorescences resembling the glomeruli of fur. There are species with blue flowers.

- Lobelia is strong. This view with beautiful small blue inflorescences will shade all other flowers on the balcony. The sunny side for them is the best option. Blossom lobelia all year round.

- Sunwital recumbent. An unusual creeping plant. The flowers are yellow, similar to the sunflower.

In order to create a beautiful composition on your balcony, you need to think in advance what kinds of species you want to see there. But even this is not enough for planted plants to rejoice and smell, it is necessary to observe all conditions of care: constant feeding, regular watering and loosening. Only in this way you can create a small corner in the apartment that looks like a beautiful garden.
