The thrifty mistress for certain in a secluded place is hidden old clothes, which no one will ever wear. It takes a lot of space, and it's a pity to throw it away. In order to lighten the cabinets a little and free up space for new purchases, we give old things a new life - we knit the rugs with a hook. Consider the principle of work on the example of two old T-shirts, but you can use any unnecessary textiles - from bed linens and curtains to coats. Such handmade rugs are not just interior items, but also a contribution to the preservation of the environment. We knit rugs from recyclables
These are the same T-shirts that, after simple manipulations, will turn into a rug. Besides them, we need scissors and a thick crochet hook. | |
We cut T-shirts into strips 2.5 cm wide. The width of the first strip should be half as much, since the bottom edge of the T-shirt consists of two layers. | |
Cut the strips into a ball. Their length does not matter, because you can use even the shortest. | |
Now our task is to learn how to connect them together. The strip is folded in half along and one end is cut with scissors, as shown in the photo. The same is done with the second strip. | |
