Vygotsky Lev Semenovich - the famous Soviet psychologist

In 1933 Vygotsky together with I. I. Danyushevsky engaged in the study of children with speech disorders. Later he lectured at the institutes and universities of Kharkov, Leningrad and Moscow.

At a time when Soviet psychology was experiencing perestroika on the basis of Marxism (Vygotsky, Lev Semenovich took an active part in it), his formation as a scientist is taking place. The influence of Vygotsky

On June 11, 1933, at the age of thirty-seven, Lev Semenovich died in Moscow of tuberculosis. In the 1930s, the re-evaluation of views on culture and science began in the Soviet Union. Vygotsky Lev Semenovich and his cultural and historical theory became the foundation of the largest Soviet school of psychology. His followers became P. Ya. Galperin, LI Bozhovich, PI Zinchenko, and others. By the seventies, Vygotsky's theory was of interest to American psychologists. His main works were translated and became the basis of educational psychology of the United States.
