The drug "Vitaprost" (suppositories) is a preparation with anti-inflammatory and antiaggregatory effect with pronounced tropism (the ability to change growth) to the prostate tissue. The drug lowers leukocyte infiltration and swelling, has a stabilizing effect on the secretory function of the prostate. In addition, the drug "Vitaprost" (candles) has a stimulating effect on the smooth muscle layer in the bladder, increases the level of lecithin inclusions in the secretion of the prostate. Suppositories reduce soreness and eliminate discomfort. The use of the drug helps to improve the composition of the ejaculate. Due to a decrease in activity in thrombus formation in venules, antiplatelet effect is realized.

The drug is used in the complex therapy of prostatitis.

The auxiliary component is vitessol. Active ingredient: the substance "Samprost" - prostate extract. Suppositories are from white with a grayish to white with a yellowish hue.

Suppositories are administered rectally (into the rectum) after a natural emptying or cleansing enema. The recommended dosage is a candle per day. After the introduction should be in a horizontal position for at least half an hour. The duration of therapy should not be less than ten days.

In addition, arrhythmia, myocardiopathy, hypotension, hives, itching is possible. Vitaprost (candles) is not prescribed for drugs until the age of eighteen (in this age period, associated with the formation of the musculoskeletal system), as well as with increased sensitivity to the components of the drug.

Suppositories can increase the toxicity of NSAIDs (nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs), anticoagulant effects when using oral anticoagulants. Elimination (excretion) of Vitaprost from the body deteriorates when using drugs with a blocking effect on tubular secretion.

With caution, the drug is prescribed for epileptiform states or epilepsy, as well as for cerebral atherosclerosis.

With cirrhosis of the liver against a background of normal kidney function, correction or reduction of dosage is not required.

Overdose with suppositories manifests itself in the form of tremors, convulsive syndrome, psychosis, fear of light, stupor, hallucinations. If these symptoms occur, the drug should be discontinued.
