Valery Rashkin: biography and political activity

Valery Rashkin was born on March 14, 1955 in a small village of Zhilino, which is territorially related to the Kaliningrad region. He is widely known for his work in the secretariat of the Moscow City Committee, he is a member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Communists of the Russian Federation, he was elected a deputy of the State Duma.

Childhood and youth

Valeria's parents, like many rural families at that time, had many children. Since childhood, the boy, along with his brothers and sisters, has worked hard, helping his father and mother to earn money. As for politics, in the early nineties Rashkin was a member of the Saratov Soviet of People's Deputies. Since 1993, he assumed the post of chairman of the Saratov regional committee. And a year later he joined the Saratov Regional Duma. Valery Rashkin, firmly standing on ideological positions, said Gennady Zyuganov (leader of the Communist Party), who made him his confidant. Until 1999, Rakshin worked as an assistant to the State Duma deputy. And in December 1999 he himself became a member of the State Duma of the third convocation from the Saratov district.

In 2000 he tried to lead the region, running for the governor, but he could not register - he was refused, accusing him of bribing voters. The party issued a statement that in the region there is unfair competition from other participants of the governor's race.

Three years later Valery Rashkin became a deputy again. The Communist Party won a decent number of votes, and Rashkin took office in the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Communist Party. Rashkin conducted his blog on the Internet and one of the records caused a real scandal in the State Duma. It was about an amateur shooting tournament, which was held among the deputies. Rashkin wrote that he would like to receive Putin as a target. After a while the politician added that he had in mind the photo, not the president himself.

When the journalists asked the communist what he wanted to say, he joked and said that "writing on a blog does not mean anything." And it was not about President Putin, it was alleged. Valery Rashkin said that there are a lot of people with this name in our country, even he has a friend Putin, who is not the president. However, history has not been forgotten so simply.

In the sidelines of the State Duma for many months remembered that tournament and Rashkin's joke. The atmosphere warmed up the fact that Rashkin always had a negative attitude towards Putin and called him "a representative of the oligarchs," and he himself was in communist positions.

The deputy also did not stay away from the situation with the annexation of the Crimea. According to Rashkin, it was the Communists who forced Putin to do it. Otherwise, the president himself could not make up his mind to take such a step. Among other things, Rashkin is often associated with a "park group" of criminal persons. The mass media wrote that Rashkin is accused of something like this (crime, violation of law, immoral acts), he casts all possible instances with deputy requests, imitates a benefactor, making money donations to churches or financing orphanages. At the moment, information that he is in a criminal grouping, remains only a rumor and is not officially confirmed.

At the moment, the deputy is married, his wife by profession is a psychologist. Rashkin brought up two sons who have long grown up and started their own families. As for hobbies, Rashkin likes mountaineering. He visited many tops of the Caucasus together with a group of friends on interests.
